The IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program offers free tax help to low-income ($35,000 and below) and people who cannot prepare their own tax returns. Volunteers sponsored by various organizations receive training to help prepare basic tax returns in communities across the country.

VITA volunteers will be available at the Lincoln Public Library on Wednesdays from 9:30 am to 1:00 pm starting on February 3rd, and ending April 14th.

The Lincoln Public Library invites families to attend a special celebration marking the 50th anniversary of the State Ballet of Rhode Island. On Saturday, March 13th at 1:00 PM, families will be treated to several mini ballet performances based on characters from well-known storybooks. Children will even have a chance to take part in a dance! After the performances, there will be a question and answer session with the dancers. Participants will also have an opportunity to meet Artistic Director and Co-Founder of the State Ballet of Rhode Island, Herci Marsden. Ms. Marsden will be available to sign copies of her limited edition book of rare and never-before-seen images of her life in ballet. There is no registration for this program and all are welcome.
