    Pembroke Historical Society 2nd Country Hoedown on the Town green. Dinner and dancing under a huge tent on the green. Bring your dancing boots and kick up your heels with a little square dancing and country music. There will be a terrific buffet prepared by the Bryantville Deli. there will be beverages available to purchase at the Hobomock Saloon! Tickets can be purchased in advance for 25$/person at Hannon Ryan Insurance, Sovereign Bank or by calling the Historical Society at 781-293-9083. Please leave your name, phone # and address. Tickets must be paid for in advance. There will be a limited # of tickets available at the door for $30/person. All the proceeds raised go to the upkeep and maintenance of the historical sites in town cared for by the society. This was a huge success last year and we are looking forward to this year's hoedown. Don't miss out on all the fun. Get your tickets early and join us on Saturday, September 12th.

    What is Light The Night? Light The Night is The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s annual evening fundraising walk to celebrate and commemorate lives touched by cancer. Each fall, teams of friends, families, and co-workers gather in cities and towns across America. Participants at the walks carry illuminated balloons – white for survivors, red for supporters, and gold for “in-memory”. Funds raised help support LLS’s mission to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. In 2008, the Massachusetts Chapter’s six Light The Night Walks raised over $1 million. Nationally, Light The Night raised $40 million.
