Presentation on the Ways and Spirituality of St. Benedict for Lay People
6:30 PM - 8:30 PM
FR. TIMOTHY JOYCE, OSB of Glastonbury Abbey, Hingham will offer a presentation on the ways and spirituality of St. Benedict for lay people at St. Bonaventure Parish Center on Wednesday, February 10, 2010, at 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM. Benedictine spirituality has become popular with many lay people as evidenced in the books, retreats, groups of Oblates and others who look to it for help. St. Benedict laid out a way of life that balances prayer, work, study and leisure. It is a spirituality that is Christ-centered, scriptural, community based and liturgical. “Never lose hope in the mercy of God.” -- the Rule of St. Benedict.
There is no charge for this special presentation. Light refreshments will be served, and all are welcome to attend. St. Bonaventure Parish Center is located at 803 State Rd., Manomet (Rte. 3 South to Exit 4; follow Rte 3A South approximately 5.5 miles). For more information, please write to Susan Healy at
