Her wild career--swimming in the Amazon with pink dolphins, searching for signs of snow leopards in the Altai Mountains of Mongolia's Gobi, working in a pit with 18,000 snakes--has unfolded because of her single talent: she has learned to recognize the teachers all around us, whether they have two legs, four, six, eight--or in the case of the snakes, one. Her talk and accompanying images will introduce folks to some of the teachers who have helped her, and discuss how we can begin to find them and learn to listen for truth.

Each session will run 1 1/2 hours and will focus on a different section of the test: short and long reading passages, vocabulary and sentence completion, grammar and usage, and essay writing. Practice tests will be administered and immediate feedback will be given. All materials will be provided by the instructor. The workshop will run five Saturdays (March 27, April 3, 10, 17 & 24). Mrs. Janet Loomis is a retired teacher with more than 30 years of classroom experience and 20 years of experience in private tutoring, writing workshops, and S.A.T prep courses.
