To borrow a kit (set of books) from Novel Conversations, you must be an Indiana resident and you must be registered. See contact information, below, to register.
There are three ways to search for a kit in Kitkeeper. However, only the first option (Browsing the List) will tell you how many copies there are for each title.
Browsing the List
- Next to the huge List icon, click Go
- Choose the title you would like from the list and click Reserve This Kit.
- Select the PICKUP date you would like from the calendar and click Reserve. This should be the date when you want the books to be available for pick up at your local library.
- If there is no "reserve" link on your desired date, the kit is not available for that date.
Searching by Title
- Next to the huge Reserve icon, choose the title you would like from the alphabetical dropdown menu.
- Click Go.
- Select the PICK UP date you would like from the calendar and click Reserve. This should be the date when you want to the books to be available for pick up at your local library.
- If there is no "reserve" link on your desired date, the kit is not available for that date.
Searching by Availability Date
- Next to the huge Dates icon choose the month and year when you would like to pick up a title from the drop down menu.
- Click Go.
- Click on a particular day on the calendar. Available titles will be displayed on the right side of the screen. Select a title and click on it.
Reserving a Title in KitKeeper
- You will now be at the Kit Reservation Form.
- Follow the instructions on the screen and enter in your Name, Phone and Email.
- Select a pickup library from the dropdown list.
- Be sure to click on the Reserve this Kit button at the bottom of the reservation form to save your selection.
