Mae Bruce Library Reading Clubs
1. Be Bops (Early Literacy Club) 5 and under
Be Bops is for children ages 5 and under. Parents will check out the books from our library ,read them to the child, and record number of books read on the reading log provided by LitKeeper.
2. Hip Hop (Elementary Club) grades 1 - 4
Hip Hop is for children entering 1st - 4th grades. Prizes will be awarded based on the amount of time read.
Recommended goal: 10-15 min. a day.
3. Rock & Roll (Tween/Teen Club) Grades 5 -12
Rock & Roll is for children entering 5th - 12th grades. Prizes will be awarded based on the amount of time read.
Recommended goal: 30-60 min.a day.
Read books, graphic novels, audiobooks, and magazines!
4. Adult Reading Club for Ages 18-Up
For every 3 books read, your name will be entered in a drawing for a grand prize. After reading 6 books you will receive a Libraries Rock tote bag.
5. 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten
We invite you to participate in this free program which encourages you to read 1,000 books with your child before he/she starts Kindergarten. Sign up for this program in the children’s department and receive your information folder.
