For discounted admission to the Puppet Showplace Theater:
- Look at the puppetshowplace.org calendar. Decide on which day you want to attend the theater. Note that the library has passes only for morning and afternoon performances intended for children and families. Evening and special events intended for adults, professionals, or education are not included in this program.
- Reserve your discount pass online or at any Brookline Library.
- After reserving the pass at the library we recommend that you purchase the discount tickets in advance by calling or visiting the theater box office. If you wait too long there may not be tickets left. There is an additional $3 fee for phone reservations.
- When you are buying the tickets tell them that you have reserved a library pass and they will let you buy up to 4 tickets for half price each. Note that the price for performances during holiday weeks is higher.
- You can also purchase tickets online using the discount code in your confirmation email; however, there is an additional fee of $1.50 for each ticket.
- BRING BOTH THE LIBRARY PASS CONFIRMATION AND TICKETS TO THE THEATER ON THE DAY OF THE PERFORMANCE! You will not be admitted to the theater unless you give them the library pass with the tickets. You may bring a digital version of your library pass confirmation email or a printout.
- Plan to arrive at least 15 minutes before show time. If you do not claim your seats by show time someone else may be given your place. If you arrive late and your seats have been given away, rain check for a different performance will be provided by the theater.
