Museum Passes

IMPORTANT:  DUE TO THE  COVID PANDEMIC ALL BPL LOCATIONS ARE CLOSED SATURDAYS AND SUNDAYS WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE COPLEY BRANCH (OPEN FOR SATURDAY ONLY).  IF YOU MAKE A RESERVATION FOR A WEEKEND DAY AND YOU ARE REQUIRED TO PICK UP A PASS YOU MUST PICKUP YOUR PASS DURING OPERATING HOURS.

Many locations require not only a pass but a reservation at the museum.  Some locations will require that you call them ahead of time and others will require a visit to their website to make a reservaton.   The Museums are limiting the number of people who can visit at any given time so a reservation is necessary to gain entrance. 

Returnable Passes must be picked up and returned (where required) to the branch where they were reserved. Please note the hours of operation for your chosen pickup location

With the exception of the Boston Children's Museum e-ticket (available only after May 31) an email confirmation of your reservation is NOT a pass or voucher to any museum.

Passes may be cancelled one day in advance over the phone or in person.  You may cancel a pass two or more days in advance online, over the phone or in person.  Same day cancellations are not permitted. If a pass has already been picked up, it must be returned to the owning library prior to cancelling the reservation.

If you are unable to use your pass, please follow these steps to cancel it and make it available for someone else to use.

Select, MY PASSES, on the museum selection page, log in to view your reservations and then locate the pass from the list that needs to be cancelled.
