Museums that are requiring additional reservations
Brooklyn Botanic Garden:
Starting September 1, patrons visiting the Garden MUST reserve tickets and have the library membership pass to enter. Please choose the “partner ticket” option.
Holocaust Museum and Tolerance Center:
During this time the HMTC is offering two tours. The first is a self-guided indoor exploration of their permanent exhibit. The second tour is an outdoor, one-hour, guided tour that focuses on the history of the Holocaust. Information on their safety protocols can be found here https://www.hmtcli.org/

Tours are available by appointment only at the following times:
Mondays: 9:00 am – 3:00 pm on the hour
Thursdays: 9:00 am – 3:00 pm on the hour
Sundays: 12:00 pm, 1:30 pm, and 3:00 pm
Intrepid Museum: Patrons must reserve free tickets here www.intrepidmuseum.org/purchase-tickets.aspx?PartnerID=1019 before their visit. You will need to show your Hicksville Public Library along with your tickets to enter the museum.
Old Bethpage Village Restoration: Due to New York State Covid attendance limitations, you must call Old Bethpage Village Restoration at 516-572-8409 to pre-register. All patrons must be New York State residents and will be required to show proper identification.
How to reserve and obtain museum passes:
Step 1: Reserve your pass for the day of your intended visit. You may reserve it online or by calling Reference at 931-1417 ext. 124
Step 2: Call 931-1417 ext. 101 the day before your reservation date during library hours to schedule a pickup. You can call from Monday to Saturday between the hours of 9:00 a.m. - 4:45 p.m. The Library is closed on Sundays, therefore if you have a reservation scheduled for Monday, please call on Saturday.
Step 3: Pick up your pass at the Curbside Pickup station on the Second Street side of the Library across the street from Hicksville Middle School.
Step 4: On the due date, return your pass between 9:30 – 11:30 and 2:30 – 4:30 at the curbside table.
Additional museum pass policy information:
Only one museum pass kit can be reserved at one time per address or family. One per family in a 1 month period.
Passes may only be borrowed by Hicksville UFSD residents (LIBRARY CARD NEEDED) who are over 18 years old who are clear of $5.00 fines and over.
There will be a late charge of $20 per day. In the event of a non-return of a pass the library will add the entry cost to your record.
The library has the right to monitor usage to ensure fairness and access for the greatest number of families.
