Museum Passes

Print from Home Passes- beginning January 1, 2020 patrons will be able to book and print certain museum passes from home.  Patrons will pick a specific date, please be careful booking, these reservations cannot be cancelled.

Pickup/Return to the Library Museum Passes-North Babylon Library cardholders can make a reservation for a specific date, pick up the pass the day before(after 3 pm) and return it the day after(by 11 am).  A new agreement form must be signed each time a museum pass is checked out and kept at the Reference Desk.

Free Museum Passes are available to NBPL cardholders in good standing. Patron must be 18 years of age or older to reserve and check out museum passes. Only one Museum Pass may be checked out to a patron at a given time. Individual passes can only be reserved once in a 30 day period(excluding school breaks). Passes can be reserved up to two months in advance by phone, online or in person at the Library.

It is the patron's responsibility to check the individual museum’s homepage for any closings or hour changes. Please remember to check their websites or call the museum before visiting.  Many require appointments and have changed their hours/admittance rules.

Specialty gardens, including the Conservatory, Discovery Garden, Rose Garden, and portions of the Japanese Hill-and-Pond Garden and Native Flora Garden, begin to close 30 minutes before closing time.

   

The Children’s Museum of the East End opened its current home in Bridgehampton in October 2005. With over 7,000 square feet of exhibition and program space, CMEE has become one of the most visited museums in Eastern Long Island. Children can let their imagination take hold as they sail the seas on a seafaring ship, meet up with some sand puppets, make noise in the Musical Forest, and create a masterpiece in the free Drop-In Art Studio.

This pass entitles 4 people free admission to the museum. At least one must be an adult.  Patrons also have access tospecial members only events, for more information contact the Museum @631-537-8250.

The Cradle of Aviation Museum is an educational center preserving Long Island’s contribution to aerospace, science and technology by inspiring future generations through learning.  It is located on land once part of Mitchel Air Force Base which, together with nearby Roosevelt Field and other airfields on the Hempstead Plains, was the site of many historic flights.

The Museum pass includes free admission for 2 adults and 2 children(ages 2-12).

This membership allows free admission to museum galleries for the number of people specified above. Discounts are available for the museum store, the cafe, the Planetarium, Nunley's Carousel and additional gallery tickets.

The Library pass is not valid at special vendor events and fundraisers such as the Comic-Con, Hops and Props, Tattoo Expo, SUMAQ, the UCP Festival of Trees, Tabletop Gaming Expo, Retro Gaming Expo and any evening events at the Cradle.

Reference collections of original archaeological artifacts and geological phenomena are maintained. These are used in exhibits and Museum educational programs and are available for special research purposes. The annual EMPIRE PASS is your key to all- season enjoyment at New York State Parks.   It provides unlimited day-use vehicle access to most facilities operated by the NYS Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation  and the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation, as well as boat launch sites, arboretums and park preserves. Hike, picnic, swim, bike, and enjoy the trails, forests, sea­shores and beaches in your state parks.

Free admission for one vehicle at entry.   Fees may vary by location and season. 

Due to current restrictions, parking may be limited at certain locations.  Cannot be used for special events including Bethpage Air Show at Jones Beach.

 

 

Old Bethpage Village Restoration is a living history museum that provides visitors with the unique opportunity to step back in time and experience life as it was on Long Island during the 19th century. The village consists of 36 houses, barns, and buildings dating from 1765 through 1865. 

The pass will be valid for one daily admission per library pass of 2- Adults & 2-Child/Seniors during normal museum hours. Photo identification and the museum pass will be required at the time of admission.

Old Westbury Gardens, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, is a magnificent Charles II-style mansion nestled amid 200 acres of formal gardens, landscaped grounds, woodlands, ponds and lakes. Westbury House is furnished with fine English antiques and decorative arts from the Phipps residence. Westbury Gardens welcomes visitors of all ages for guided tours of the grounds.
The Museum pass includes free admission/parking for 2 adults and children to the mansion and gardens.

Sagtikos Manor is a unique historic jewel on the South Shore of Suffolk County on Long Island, New York. Sagtikos is a Native American word meaning "head of the hissing snake" and is derived from the sound of a small stream that flows through the neck of land upon which the Manor lies.  In 1790 George Washington spent the night of April 21st at Sagtikos Manor. President Washington recorded this in the diary he kept of his tour of Long Island.

Robert David Lion Gardiner owned the property from 1935 to 1985 when he deeded it to the Robert David Lion Gardiner Foundation. In 2002 Suffolk County purchased the remaining 10 acre property from the Foundation to keep it from being sold to a developer. The Sagtikos Manor Historical Society provides tours, educational programs and research.

The Museum pass includes one free admission/tour per day for 2 adults and 2 children.  Tours leave every hour.  It is highly recommended to book online.

The Vanderbilt Museum and Planetarium is a unique combination of mansion, marine/natural history museum, planetarium and park. Exhibits include photography, fine arts, furnishing and much more. The 43 acre estate is the former estate of William K. Vanderbilt II known as "Eagle's Nest".

Robert David Lion Gardiner owned the property from 1935 to 1985 when he deeded it to the Robert David Lion Gardiner Foundation. In 2002 Suffolk County purchased the remaining 10 acre property from the Foundation to keep it from being sold to a developer. The Sagtikos Manor Historical Society provides tours, educational programs and research.

Specialty gardens, including the Conservatory, Discovery Garden, Rose Garden, and portions of the Japanese Hill-and-Pond Garden and Native Flora Garden, begin to close 30 minutes before closing time.

   

The Children’s Museum of the East End opened its current home in Bridgehampton in October 2005. With over 7,000 square feet of exhibition and program space, CMEE has become one of the most visited museums in Eastern Long Island. Children can let their imagination take hold as they sail the seas on a seafaring ship, meet up with some sand puppets, make noise in the Musical Forest, and create a masterpiece in the free Drop-In Art Studio.

This pass entitles 4 people free admission to the museum. At least one must be an adult.  Patrons also have access tospecial members only events, for more information contact the Museum @631-537-8250.

The Cradle of Aviation Museum is an educational center preserving Long Island’s contribution to aerospace, science and technology by inspiring future generations through learning.  It is located on land once part of Mitchel Air Force Base which, together with nearby Roosevelt Field and other airfields on the Hempstead Plains, was the site of many historic flights.

The Museum pass includes free admission for 2 adults and 2 children(ages 2-12).

This membership allows free admission to museum galleries for the number of people specified above. Discounts are available for the museum store, the cafe, the Planetarium, Nunley's Carousel and additional gallery tickets.

Reference collections of original archaeological artifacts and geological phenomena are maintained. These are used in exhibits and Museum educational programs and are available for special research purposes. The annual EMPIRE PASS is your key to all- season enjoyment at New York State Parks.   It provides unlimited day-use vehicle access to most facilities operated by the NYS Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation  and the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation, as well as boat launch sites, arboretums and park preserves. Hike, picnic, swim, bike, and enjoy the trails, forests, sea­shores and beaches in your state parks.

Old Bethpage Village Restoration is a living history museum that provides visitors with the unique opportunity to step back in time and experience life as it was on Long Island during the 19th century. The village consists of 36 houses, barns, and buildings dating from 1765 through 1865. 

The pass will be valid for one daily admission per library pass of 2- Adults & 2-Child/Seniors during normal museum hours. Photo identification and the museum pass will be required at the time of admission.

Old Westbury Gardens, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, is a magnificent Charles II-style mansion nestled amid 200 acres of formal gardens, landscaped grounds, woodlands, ponds and lakes. Westbury House is furnished with fine English antiques and decorative arts from the Phipps residence. Westbury Gardens welcomes visitors of all ages for guided tours of the grounds.

Sagtikos Manor is a unique historic jewel on the South Shore of Suffolk County on Long Island, New York. Sagtikos is a Native American word meaning "head of the hissing snake" and is derived from the sound of a small stream that flows through the neck of land upon which the Manor lies.  In 1790 George Washington spent the night of April 21st at Sagtikos Manor. President Washington recorded this in the diary he kept of his tour of Long Island.
