New Orleans Culture Pass Rules

  • Passes may be reserved by library cardholders online, in person, or by phone via a Library staff member
  • Passes are only valid for those who live in Orleans Parish and are age 18 and older. Passes are not valid for those with a temporary library card or cardholders from Jefferson or St. Bernard Parish. 
  • Passes may be reserved by library cardholders no more than once per month per partner organization
  • Each pass is valid for one day
  • Multiple passes may not be reserved for the same day
  • Passes are only valid for the date of visit displayed on the pass confirmation
  • Printed or digital pass confirmations will be accepted for entry
  • Passes may not be exchanged, refunded, and are non-transferrable
  • Attempts to duplicate, alter, or sell passes will result in denied admittance
  • Neither the partner organization nor the New Orleans Public Library is responsible for unauthorized duplication, lost, or stolen passes
  • All partner organizations reserve the right to refuse entry to all pass holders

The Museum of the Southern Jewish Experience explores the many ways that Jews in the American South influenced and were influenced by the distinct cultural heritage of their new homes. Through exhibits, collections and programs focused on the unique and remarkable history of Southern Jews, the Museum encourages new understanding and appreciation for identity, diversity, and acceptance. The Museum is open six days a week 10am-5pm (Closed Tuesdays). Closed New Year's Day, Mardi Gras, Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. 

   

· Library Pass provides admission for 2 adults and 4 children under 18. Adults aged seventeen and older must accompany a group of children sixteen years of age and younger.

· All admission tickets are timed and are a first come first serve basis and based on availability. To redeem, please visit any Ticketing desk at the National WWII Museum with this confirmation to receive timed admission tickets. New Orleans Public Library cards will not be accepted for entry.

· The pass also includes museum entry to Beyond All Boundaries 4D Experience and other daily public programming. Beyond All Boundaries 4D Experience tickets are based on availability.

· Patron named on the Pass must be present to redeem. Please have your photo ID ready at check-in

· The National WWII Museum is open Monday-Sunday from 9 am to 5 pm.

· The National WWII Museum is closed to the public on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and Mardi Gras Day.

The historic New Canal Lighthouse at West End on Lakeshore Drive was severely damaged by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita in 2005. The Lake Pontchartrain Basin Foundation reconstructed the lighthouse, incorporating original wood from the 1890 lighthouse that stood on the site and now operates as LPBF's New Canal Lighthouse Museum and Education Center. The museum offers programs that focus on the history of the lighthouse, the ecology of the Pontchartrain Basin and the critical coastal issues we face today in South Louisiana. The museum has on display a Fresnel lens that was believed to have been in the lighthouse in the early 1900's. There are also displays depicting the history of the region and the lighthouse, the work of LPBF, recreational and commercial lake opportunities, and LPBF's plan to make our coast sustainable for the future.

New Orleans Museum of Art (NOMA), the city’s oldest fine arts institution, opened on December 16, 1911, with only 9 works of art. Today, the museum hosts an impressive permanent collection of almost 40,000 objects, including French and American art, photography, glass, and African and Japanese works. The twelve-acre Sydney and Walda Besthoff Sculpture Garden at NOMA is one of the most important sculpture installations in the United States, with over 90 sculptures. 

   

Pass provides free museum entry for up to 2 adults and 7 children. The pass also includes museum entry to special Ogden programs such as Ogden After Hours, Art for Arts Sake, etc.

The Ogden Museum of Southern Art is home to the largest and most comprehensive collection of Southern art in the world. It is also home to the Center of Southern Craft and Design.

Ogden Museum of Southern Art is requiring reservations for timed ticketing slots. However, the Ogden Museum Culture Pass cannot be used to make an online timed ticket reservation. It must be brought to visitor services at the Museum where it will be redeemed for a timed ticket slot on a first-come-first-served basis for the allotted amount of available tickets.
