Overview of our Museum Passes

The pass provides free admission to most of Boston By Foot's walking tours for up to 5 people.  Excluded are the Footloose on the Freedom Trail and Beacon Hill with a Boo!  tours. Water-based tours are also excluded.

After booking your library pass, please call us at 508-261-7380 for the discount code.

Pre-registration is required for all walking tours at https://bostonbyfoot.org.  Enter your library code for each attendee to receive your discount. 

   

Admits up to 4 (adults or children) at half price per person.

The museum requires visitors to reserve tickets ahead of time online.

To use your library pass to book museum tickets, do the following:

  1. Reserve and receive your library pass, which contains a library discount code.  You must show this pass at the museum when you arrive. This is an e-ticket, valid only for one day. You can either print it out and take it with you or display the pass on your phone or device. Either way, please be sure that the pass barcode is visible.
  2. Do the following to book your museum tickets online: 
  • Visit https://www.bostonchildrensmuseum.org/ticketing
  • Review the directions for timed tickets
  • Click on the "Discount Programs" & drop down arrow
  • Click on "Half Price Library Timed Ticket " to book
  • The date on the Library Discount Coupon must match the date of the patron’s visit.
  • Once arriving at the Museum, visitors will proceed to the Admissions Scanning Station with their online reservation and the date specific Library Discount Coupon received from the library. Patron can present these digitally on a hand held device or as a paper print out.

Pass grants 2-for-1 tickets for up to four people. Select either 2 or 4 tickets per transaction.

Ferries are boarded at Long Wharf North in Boston.  In 2023, tickets will grant passage to:

Spectacle Island:

  • 6/15 to 9/4, Weekdays only (Monday through Friday)
  • 9/7 to 10/9, Friday through Sunday

Georges Island:

  • 5//20 to 6/11, Thursday through Sunday
  • 6/15 to 9/4, Weekdays only (Monday through Friday)

To Purchase Tickets Using the Library Pass:

  • Book your library pass and then call us at 508-261-7380 for the promo code.
  • go to www.bostonharborislands.org/ferry-tickets/ to buy your tickets.  All tickets must be purchased online.
  • you can order up to 4 tickets.  Enter the promo code in the shopping cart.
  • Complete your transaction and bring your phone or printed copy of your barcode to board the ferry.

   

Pass admits 2 people for 50% off regular admission.  You must come into the library to pick up the pass.  You may pick the pass up on the day of your visit or the day before. 

 

Passes are not valid during special events. 

 

 

   

Pass admits up to 6 people at $9 per adult and $6 per child (ages 2-12). Under 2 is free.

4. Add desired number of tickets to the basket. The discount only works for up to 4 Adult priced tickets and any additional ticket will be normally priced (Children under 18 are always admitted for free and should be reserved as child tickets).
5. Login or create an account.
6. Finish checking out (discount is applied only at checkout).

   

This pass is valid for 8 adults, seniors, college students, or youths with a $3 co-pay per person to the museum. Children ages 12 and under receive free admission.

The Museum is open on Saturdays and Sundays, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Advanced timed tickets are required.

The Pass provides visitors unlimited day-use parking access to state park facilities within the DCR that charge a parking fee, with the exception of Quabbin Reservoir; the Squantum Point, NorthPoint, or Draw Seven Commuter lots; or for camping.  You must come into the library with your library card to pick up the pass.  You can pick it up one day prior to your reservation date.

This pass may be reserved 2 times in a 30 day period.

      Multiple Destinations

Tickets are available in person or in advance online or by phone, but visitors are strongly encouraged to reserve tickets in advance. Tickets are valid for the full day of the visit. Special exhibits require everyone to reserve a timed-entry exhibition ticket.   

To get your library discount when ordering online you must enter a discount code.  Please call the library at 508-261-7380 before puchasing your tickets to obtain this code.  If you are purchasing tickets at the museum, please let us know so that we can email you a confirmation with the discount code.  You must show this email when you purchase your tickets.

Each pass admits two adults at $10 per person (this includes entrance to any special exhibits).  You can also purchase tickets that include entrance to the special exhibits, for $10 each, for up to 4 children aged 7-17.  There is no discount for children 7-17 for general admission, currently $10. Children 6 and under are admitted free.

The museum is open Wednesday through Monday, 10am to 5pm, with evening hours Thursday and Friday until 10 pm.

 

 

   

This pass will admit up to 4 people at a 50% discount on tickets to the Museum’s Exhibit Halls. Children under 3 are not included in the count of 4 and are always admitted for free. This coupon must be presented to Plimoth Patuxet Museums guest services staff upon arrival at the Museum for Mansfield Public Library patrons to purchase a Heritage Pass, Combination Pass, or Plimoth Patuxet Only pass for up to six individuals at the reduced rate of $16 per adult; $10 per child ages 5-17. This coupon is for one time use only by the patron.

You must show this pass when you go to the museum; you can either print it out or show it on your phone.

   

Pass admits 4 people at half price.  Children under 12 months are free.

All visitors ages 2 and up must wear a mask.  The museum is closed Mondays and Tuesdays.

The museum has walk up tickets put aside for library pass holders.  Bring this pass with you and purchase tickets at the museum.  There are 2 time blocks available:  9:30 - 12:30  or  1:30 - 4:30.

Pass admits 4 adults and/or children at a discount of $3.00 off regular admission price. Zoo tickets must be purchased online prior to your visit. Please call the library at 508-261-7380 to obtain the discount code, then go to the zoo's website and use the code to purchase tickets.

   

Pass admits up to 6 people for $13.50 per Adult/Senior and $11.25 per Child (3-14).

Library passes are not accepted at the museum in the month of October.

   

This pass admits 9 people for free. You can either present a printed confirmation page or display it from your device at the Museum. Valid only for the date listed on this pass. One pass per party, please.

Please note that the ship and museum have different hours. Museum Hours: Open Daily; Winter Hours: 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM; Summer Hours: 9:00AM - 6:00PM. The Museum closes for Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day, and closes early on Christmas Eve.

Tickets are available in person or in advance online or by phone, but visitors are strongly encouraged to reserve tickets in advance. Tickets are valid for the full day of the visit. Special exhibits require everyone to reserve a timed-entry exhibition ticket.   

To get your library discount when ordering online you must enter a discount code.  Please call the library at 508-261-7380 before puchasing your tickets to obtain this code.  If you are purchasing tickets at the museum, please let us know so that we can email you a confirmation with the discount code.  You must show this email when you purchase your tickets.

Each pass admits two adults at $10 per person (this includes entrance to any special exhibits).  You can also purchase tickets that include entrance to the special exhibits, for $10 each, for up to 4 children aged 7-17.  There is no discount for children 7-17 for general admission, currently $10. Children 6 and under are admitted free.

The museum is open Wednesday through Monday, 10am to 5pm, with evening hours Thursday and Friday until 10 pm.

 

 

   

This pass will admit up to 4 people at a 50% discount on tickets to the Museum’s Exhibit Halls. Children under 3 are not included in the count of 4 and are always admitted for free. You do not need to call ahead to reserve a timed ticket. If you have questions or prefer to reserve in advance, you can call 617-723-2500 (9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. daily).

1. Your pass can only be used on the date printed on the pass.
2. Please bring your library pass confirmation when you visit.
3. Stop at the Box Office when you arrive at the Museum to exchange your library pass and purchase your Exhibit Halls passes at the discounted rate.
4. If you are not able to show your Library confirmation on a phone, please request a paper copy of your confirmation at the library.

The pass needs to be picked up at the library and shown at the museum.  You can pick the pass up as early as the day before the date of the visit. 

This pass needs to be returned to the Mansfield Public Library by 10am the next day the library is open.

This coupon allows 50% off admission to the New England Aquarium. This is not a ticket. Redeem this coupon in the General Admission line at the Aquarium’s ticket booth for discounted admission for up to four people. Advanced reservations are not required for library patrons with coupons. Each pass admits up to 10 people free of charge. The museum is closed Sundays and Mondays.

This coupon must be presented to Plimoth Patuxet Museums guest services staff upon arrival at the Museum for Mansfield Public Library patrons to purchase a Heritage Pass, Combination Pass, or Plimoth Patuxet Only pass for up to six individuals at the reduced rate of $16 per adult; $10 per child ages 5-17. This coupon is for one time use only by the patron.

You must show this pass when you go to the museum; you can either print it out or show it on your phone.

   

Pass admits 4 people at half price.  Children under 12 months are free.

All visitors ages 2 and up must wear a mask.  The museum is closed Mondays and Tuesdays.

The museum has walk up tickets put aside for library pass holders.  Bring this pass with you and purchase tickets at the museum.  There are 2 time blocks available:  9:30 - 12:30  or  1:30 - 4:30.

Pass admits up to 6 people for $13.50 per Adult/Senior and $11.25 per Child (3-14).

Library passes are not accepted at the museum in the month of October.

   

This pass admits 9 people for free. You can either present a printed confirmation page or display it from your device at the Museum. Valid only for the date listed on this pass. One pass per party, please.

Please note that the ship and museum have different hours. Museum Hours: Open Daily; Winter Hours: 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM; Summer Hours: 9:00AM - 6:00PM. The Museum closes for Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day, and closes early on Christmas Eve.
