Museum Passes

Reserve a pass for the date you will visit the destination.

Maynard Public Library museum passes are available to anyone who holds a library card for the Minuteman Library Network (MLN). Passes should be reserved in advance online, in person at the Circulation Desk, or by calling 978-897-1010Returnable passes must be returned within 48 hours. An overdue fine of $1.00 per day will be charged for the late return of a pass. Passes may be returned to the bookdrop when the library is closed.

Museum passes are provided by a $5,300 annual grant from the Friends of the Maynard Public Library.

The museum’s building contains a number of galleries dedicated to teaching scientific concepts in a fun, hands-on environment, as well as themed play spaces for younger visitors. Outdoors, Discovery Woods includes a nature playscape with a cargo net climb, nest swing and beaver lodges, as well as a treehouse with an observation deck and a bouncy bridge. There are opportunities to practice orienteering with provided maps and instructions on trails on the property. A museum shop is on the premises. The museum building is fully ADA compliant, with exhibits based on Universal Design principles.

The museum’s building contains a number of galleries dedicated to teaching scientific concepts in a fun, hands-on environment, as well as themed play spaces for younger visitors. Outdoors, Discovery Woods includes a nature playscape with a cargo net climb, nest swing and beaver lodges, as well as a treehouse with an observation deck and a bouncy bridge. There are opportunities to practice orienteering with provided maps and instructions on trails on the property. A museum shop is on the premises. The museum building is fully ADA compliant, with exhibits based on Universal Design principles.

Franklin Park, located in Boston, is long considered the "crown jewel" of Frederick Law Olmsted's Emerald Necklace Park System. The Stone Zoo is located on a 26-acre site near the Spot Pond reservoir in Stoneham, MA. The pass is good for either facility.
