MUSEUM PASS BORROWING GUIDELINES
Beginning February 1, 2018 the Library will offer 2 types of Museum Passes: Print on Demand vs. Pick Up/Return at Library. All passes may be reserved up to three months in advance by an adult (18 years or older) whose library card is in good standing, is not expired, and does not have fines exceeding $5.00. Reservations placed on children’s cards will not be honored. Courtesy cardholders are not eligible to borrow museum passes. Each museum pass may be reserved once in a 30-day period. Only one pass may be borrowed at a time by an individual or family. Merrick cardholders may only reserve one pass per family for the same museum on any given day.
Print on Demand Passes can be printed at home or at the Library. Request your pass for the day you wish to use it. This pass is only valid on the date of visit listed on the confirmation page. Not all museums honor passes shown on a mobile device; please print the physical pass to ensure admission. PLEASE CHECK THE MUSEUM'S HOURS FOR THE DATE YOU WISH TO VISIT.
Pick Up/Return at Library Passes are picked up at the Circulation Desk and must be checked out by the cardholder who placed the reservation. These passes have a one-day loan period. They must be returned the day after they are borrowed. In effect, you have the use of the pass for two days. Request the pass for the date you are going to pick up the pass at the library. They may be returned in the book drop, in the envelope we provide, anytime the following day. There is a $10.00 late charge for passes not returned on time. There will be an additional charge to replace a lost pass. PLEASE NOTE: When the library is closed on Sunday, passes checked out on Saturday are due back before 9 AM on Monday.

You may cancel a reservation from home. Go to the "My Passes" button, enter your library barcode and click "cancel" next to the pass. If you will not be using the pass and it is less than 24 hours to your reservation date, please contact the Reference Desk at 377-6112 ext. 112. We depend on patrons to cancel any reservation that they do not intend to use so that the pass will be available for someone else.
