Reserve a Museum Pass!

Reserve a pass for the date you will pick up the pass.

You can choose a pick-up day of either Tuesday or Friday.
You may pick up the pass the night before your reservation at 8pm if it is available. Call us to check if it is available at (631) 286-0818. 
Otherwise, please pick up passes starting at 9:30am the day of your reservation.

Tuesday passes are due back on Thursday by 8pm. Friday passes are due back on Monday by 8pm.

Passes are still due back on a holiday even if the library is closed. Please place the pass in the book drop.

Please bring your LICENSE AND LIBRARY CARD with you to pick up museum passes.
Passes will ONLY be checked out to the patron who placed the reservation.

Check the museum hours before visiting.
The library cannot be held responsible if the museum has an event and the membership is not honored.

Filled with fantastical, educational, and interactive exhibits, the Children's Museum of the East End is a wonderland for children's imaginations, celebrating the history, beauty and creativity of the East End of Long Island. 

The museum is most appropriate for children birth to 7 years.

Free admission for 2 adults and 4 children (ages 1 & up). No children will be admitted without an adult and no adult will be admitted without a child.

Cradle of Aviation Museum features exhibits and more than 75 aircraft chronicling Long Island's role in civilian and military aviation history, from the first official air mail flight in 1911 to the Grumman plant's production of Apollo lunar modules in the 1960s. Charles Lindbergh flew from Roosevelt Field to Paris in 1927.

Films at the National Geographic Leroy R. & Rose W. Grumman Dome Theater feature aviation themes; and the JetBlue Sky Theater Planetarium treats audiences to realistic close-up views of star fields and planets, taking them on an exhilarating flight through a virtual re-creation of the universe.

A 1912 carousel is housed in an adjacent building.

Pass allows admission for a 2 adults and 2 children. The X-ride and Junior Jet Club are free with admission. The pass also includes a 15% discount at the Museum Store, a discount at the Red Planet Café, and a discount on the purchase of Giant-screen, planetarium and Nunley’s.

The Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum is one of America’s leading historic, cultural and educational institutions. The Museum is centered on the aircraft carrier Intrepid, one of the most successful ships in US history, and now a national historic landmark.

The Museum features a range of interactive exhibits and events providing a snapshot of heroism, education, and excitement. Children and adults alike find themselves immersed in and inspired by the Museum’s exhibits!

The library circulates one pass for this museum that allows free admission for six (6) people. A South Country Library card must be presented along with the pass.

Long Island Children's Museum is a learning laboratory where hands-on exhibits invite visitors to experiment, examine and play. Through lively interdisciplinary activities, children and adults can share in the excitement of the learning process as they explore the world in which we live. The museum is designed for infants and children through age 12 and their grownups.

The library circulates 1 pass to this museum that entitles free admission for up to 4 people. No children will be admitted without an adult and no adult will be admitted without a child.

The Long Island Museum located in Stony Brook. It is best known for a collection of over 200 carriages, and other horse-drawn vehicles, considered the finest in the United States. The collection includes all kinds of vehicles: coachmen-driven Hansom cabs; deluxe Park drags; buckboards and farm wagons; Wells Fargo coaches; fire-fighting vehicles; a prairie schooner; even a spectacular Gypsy Wagon. The museum welcomes children and adults to rediscover the richness of America's cultural heritage.

The library circulates one pass that entitles free admission for two adults and children 18 and under. The pass includes a 10% discount at The Museum Gift & Book Shop. A South Country Library card must be presented along with the pass.

The Old Bethpage Village Restoration pass is good ONLY for admission for four [4] visitors during normal museum hours. Not valid for complimentary or discounted admission to special events or programs held at Old Bethpage Village Restoration.

Old Westbury Gardens volunteers provide daily tours of Westbury House and the Gardens. Please inquire at the reception desk for a daily schedule. Guided tours last approximately 45 minutes.  House tours meet at the reception desk and garden tours meet at the West Porch Beech Tree.

Self-guided tours visitor brochures are available in English, French, German and Spanish. Guests may also tour the facilities at their own leisure.

This pass allows admission for 2 adults and children. 

November Hours: 

CLOSED Monday-Friday.

Open Saturdays and Sundays until November 19th.
Gardens - 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
House - 10:00 -  4:00 pm

After November 19th, Old Westbury Gardens will be closed for the winter and will reopen in April.

This pass does not include admission into the Rise of the Jack O'Lanterns Event.

Patrons of member libraries receive general admission and Planetarium tickets to one show for two adults and four children under the age of 18. The last tour of the day is at 4PM. Mansion tour tickets are not included. Mansion tours are $8.00 per person during the summer (under 8 is not recommened) During the year it is $6.00. 

As of July 2017 The Marine Museum is temporarily closed until further notice for repairs and renovation.  Because it is an extensive project, they do not even have an expected finish date. You can check their website or call to check.
