With all the recent CDC changes with Covid mask and distancing guidelines, museums MAY have changed their procedures. Also, some museums are still closed due to coronavirus concerns. If you are using a pass, please check with the museum before visiting for any hour, service or procedural changes.

The South Country Library offers two types of passes:

Passes may be reserved online up to 30 days in advnce and can be picked up in the Children’s Department. You can choose a pick-up day of either Tuesday or Friday. Passes checked out on Tuesday are due back on Thursday by 8pm. Passes checked out on Friday are due back on Monday by 8pm. Please be aware that the next patron may be waiting for the pass. Helpful hint: In the museum pass list below, you can click on the museum's icon in the left hand column to go directly to the museum's website. We recommend checking a museum's website for up-to-date information. Click on the long bar that states the museum name (for example, Children's Museum of the East End (Print on Demand)) to find out additional information about that specific museum pass. It will give you information like how many people the pass admits, etc.

The museum passes are managed by the Children's Dept. You can reach them at 631-286-0818 x2.

Museum passes are special memberships that the library purchases so patrons (library card holders) can borrow and use them. Each museum sets their own parameters like the number of entries per pass, age guidelines, whether it is a physical or print on demand pass, etc.
