There is significantly reduced capacity, and all visitors, with the exception of children under two years, will be required to wear a mask.

The Museum has two set daily time slots, 10:00am - 12:30pm, and 2:00pm - 4:30pm. All ticketing and reservations will be done online. There are a limited number of visits reservations available for each time slot. The Museum will continue to honor the library discount program, but only for weekdays.

All exhibits will be open except for PlaySpace, The New Balance Climb, KidStage, parts of Construction Zone, and parts of Boston Black. The STEAM Lab, Art Lab, and the Japanese House are all open with reduced numbers per program session. Please also note that while the Bubbles and Peep exhibits are open we are not providing smocks. Please bring extra clothes if you feel it is necessary.

THERE ARE SPECIAL COVID-19 PROCEDURES THAT ARE POSTED ON THEIR WEB SITE - PLEASE READ THIS INFORMATION BEFORE RESERVING YOUR PASS. Following is a summary of what is on the web site:

1. Reserve the library pass for the day you would like to go. We have passes for each day of the week. Book as early as you can, tickets sell out very quickly.
2. Purchase tickets (and complete waiver) on the Davis' Farmland website. Select the option for "Library Guest Ticket."  NOTE: You have to scroll down the list to get to the library price; the scroll bar will not show until you move your mouse pointer over it. Your tickets must match the day of the library pass that you use.
3. Print out your tickets from the Davis' Farmland website (or save them to your phone)
4. Pick up the library pass from TPL.
5. Show the library pass and tickets to get into the park.
6. Return the Pass to the library at the end of the day.

NOTE: The Davis' Farmland website says: "Must present Library Card from your library & online Davis Farmland Library ticket." You DO NOT need your library card - what they are referring to is the library PASS.

As of Sunday, August 8, 2021 The Carle is requiring all guests ages 5 and up to wear masks inside the Museum, regardless of vaccination status. Masks are encouraged for children ages two to four.

They have capacity limits in place throughout the Museum to create the space necessary for all visitors to maintain a six-foot distance. Children must stay with their adult(s) at all times.

Advance ticket purchase is highly recommended as visitor capacity is reduced and walkup spots are not guaranteed. This policy extends to members, including organizational members. Even if a patron has checked out this member pass to visit The Carle, you are still encouraged to reserve a spot online to ensure admission for the day.

The Art Studio requires a reserved time session that can be booked when checking in at the Admission Desk.

Advance timed-tickets are required to allow for contactless entry, and we ask that visitors arrive to the museum no more than five minutes ahead of their designated time slot. Timed tickets can be reserved online at icaboston.org/tickets. When checking in at the museum, you must present the e-ticket that will be emailed to you from the museum, AND the library pass, that you will pick up at the library.

Note: There is a $4 per ticket service fee attached to online ticket purchases; If you would prefer to avoid this fee, the TPL has been told that it is an option to just show up and buy tickets at the museum, their attendance has been below what is allowed and, so far, have not needed to turn anyone away. If you plan on using this option, we suggest that you call ahead - 617-478-3100.

Frequent hand washing is encouraged. Hand sanitizing stations have been installed throughout the museum; we ask that visitors refrain from using their own gels, sprays, or other liquids while in the galleries.

This one-day Library Partner Admission Pass admits 1 vehicle OR up to 4 people to a Mass Audubon wildlife sanctuary. At some sanctuaries there is a $2 admission fee per visitor over the age of 2.

After you make your library pass reservation, you may pick it up any time the library is open.

The library is closed most Sundays through the year, so any Sunday pass must be picked up by Saturday, or Friday, if we are also closed on Saturday.

Please note that not all wildlife sanctuaries are open, and that most buildings are presently closed; many bathrooms are open (check on a sanctuary's webpage to find out). Dogs & bikes are not permitted. Some sanctuaries require reservations before visiting. Please visit https://www.massaudubon.org/get-outdoors/wildlife-sanctuaries/trails for the latest information on which sanctuaries are open for visitation.

For sanctuaries that require reservations, passes should be requested several days in advance for the date you wish to visit, to increase the likelihood that tickets will still be available for that date. COVID-19 CHANGES:  Still being observed after the 5/29 update:

To manage capacity, they are requiring visitors to purchase tickets in advance. When using this pass, please email visitorcenter@osv.org or call 508-347-0213 in advance to reserve your entry with a Visitor Center staff member. Proof of eligibility must be presented upon arrival at the Visitor Center.

All ticket holders must choose a date and time block during which you would like to arrive.

Face coverings/masks are required for adults and youth 2 years of age and older unless they fall under the state exception guidelines. If you’ve forgotten your mask, they will have some available for purchase at the Visitor Center.

They ask all visitors to observe six-foot physical distancing between your party and other parties.

Hand sanitizing stations are available upon entry and exit of the Visitor Center as well as throughout the grounds.

Old Sturbridge Village cannot loan strollers to visitors at this time. Wheelchairs are still available for loan on a first-come-first-served basis.

Restrooms are available and occupancy is limited to 1 person or 1 family at a time.

General safety procedures required by the museum:

To allow for safe physical distancing, a limited number of visitors will be allowed inside the museum and its galleries at any time. Timed tickets can be reserved at pem.org/tickets.

To comply with new safety protocols, the Where the Questions Live exhibition and The Pod in the Art & Nature Center are temporarily closed to the public.

All staff and visitors are required to adhere to the following guidelines:

Wear face coverings over the nose and mouth at all times

Stay at least 6 feet away from others

There is significantly reduced capacity, and all visitors, with the exception of children under two years, will be required to wear a mask.

The Museum has two set daily time slots, 10:00am - 12:30pm, and 2:00pm - 4:30pm. All ticketing and reservations will be done online. THERE ARE SPECIAL COVID-19 PROCEDURES THAT ARE POSTED ON THEIR WEB SITE - PLEASE READ THIS INFORMATION BEFORE RESERVING YOUR PASS. Following is a summary of what is on the web site:

1. Reserve the library pass for the day you would like to go. We have passes for each day of the week. Book as early as you can, tickets sell out very quickly.
2. Purchase tickets (and complete waiver) on the Davis' Farmland website. Select the option for "Library Guest Ticket."  NOTE: You have to scroll down the list to get to the library price; the scroll bar will not show until you move your mouse pointer over it. Your tickets must match the day of the library pass that you use.
3. Print out your tickets from the Davis' Farmland website (or save them to your phone)
4. Pick up the library pass from TPL.
5. Show the library pass and tickets to get into the park.
6. Return the Pass to the library at the end of the day.

As of Sunday, August 8, 2021 The Carle is requiring all guests ages 5 and up to wear masks inside the Museum, regardless of vaccination status. Masks are encouraged for children ages two to four.

They have capacity limits in place throughout the Museum to create the space necessary for all visitors to maintain a six-foot distance. Children must stay with their adult(s) at all times.

Advance ticket purchase is highly recommended as visitor capacity is reduced and walkup spots are not guaranteed. This policy extends to members, including organizational members. Advance timed-tickets are required to allow for contactless entry, and we ask that visitors arrive to the museum no more than five minutes ahead of their designated time slot. Timed tickets can be reserved online at icaboston.org/tickets. When checking in at the museum, you must present the e-ticket that will be emailed to you from the museum, AND the library pass, that you will pick up at the library.

Note: There is a $4 per ticket service fee attached to online ticket purchases; If you would prefer to avoid this fee, the TPL has been told that it is an option to just show up and buy tickets at the museum, their attendance has been below what is allowed and, so far, have not needed to turn anyone away. Frequent hand washing is encouraged. Hand sanitizing stations have been installed throughout the museum; we ask that visitors refrain from using their own gels, sprays, or other liquids while in the galleries.

This one-day Library Partner Admission Pass admits 1 vehicle OR up to 4 people to a Mass Audubon wildlife sanctuary. At some sanctuaries there is a $2 admission fee per visitor over the age of 2.

After you make your library pass reservation, you may pick it up any time the library is open.

The library is closed most Sundays through the year, so any Sunday pass must be picked up by Saturday, or Friday, if we are also closed on Saturday.

Please note that not all wildlife sanctuaries are open, and that most buildings are presently closed; many bathrooms are open (check on a sanctuary's webpage to find out). Dogs & bikes are not permitted. Some sanctuaries require reservations before visiting. Please visit https://www.massaudubon.org/get-outdoors/wildlife-sanctuaries/trails for the latest information on which sanctuaries are open for visitation.

For sanctuaries that require reservations, passes should be requested several days in advance for the date you wish to visit, to increase the likelihood that tickets will still be available for that date. This one-day Library Partner Admission Pass admits 1 vehicle OR up to 4 people to a Mass Audubon wildlife sanctuary. At some sanctuaries there is a $2 admission fee per visitor over the age of 2.

After you make your library pass reservation, you may pick it up any time the library is open.

The library is closed most Sundays through the year, so any Sunday pass must be picked up by Saturday, or Friday, if we are also closed on Saturday.

Please note that not all wildlife sanctuaries are open, and that most buildings are presently closed; many bathrooms are open (check on a sanctuary's webpage to find out). Dogs & bikes are not permitted. Some sanctuaries require reservations before visiting. Please visit https://www.massaudubon.org/get-outdoors/wildlife-sanctuaries/trails for the latest information on which sanctuaries are open for visitation.

For sanctuaries that require reservations, passes should be requested several days in advance for the date you wish to visit, to increase the likelihood that tickets will still be available for that date. Mass Audubon does not guarantee access on any specific date/time if tickets are not available.

Don't worry - if the date you originally reserve is not available, it is okay to choose a different date when purchasing your tickets online; this flexibility is built into the system.

COVID-19 CHANGES:  Still being observed after the 5/29 update:

To manage capacity, they are requiring visitors to purchase tickets in advance. When using this pass, please email visitorcenter@osv.org or call 508-347-0213 in advance to reserve your entry with a Visitor Center staff member. Proof of eligibility must be presented upon arrival at the Visitor Center.

All ticket holders must choose a date and time block during which you would like to arrive.

Face coverings/masks are required for adults and youth 2 years of age and older unless they fall under the state exception guidelines. If you’ve forgotten your mask, they will have some available for purchase at the Visitor Center.

They ask all visitors to observe six-foot physical distancing between your party and other parties.

Hand sanitizing stations are available upon entry and exit of the Visitor Center as well as throughout the grounds.

Old Sturbridge Village cannot loan strollers to visitors at this time. Wheelchairs are still available for loan on a first-come-first-served basis.

Restrooms are available and occupancy is limited to 1 person or 1 family at a time.

Guests who are fully vaccinated are not required to wear a mask, except for certain opportunities such as visiting the petting area. We recommend that all guests bring a mask. Children under five are not required to wear a face covering, except when visiting the petting area.
