To comply with reduced capacity requirements, the Aquarium has implemented a timed-ticketing system. Every visitor, including members, must select a time slot when purchasing tickets. The telescope may only be checked out and returned to a staff member at the Information/Reference Desk.
Borrower must be a Fitchburg resident who is 18 years old or older.
A valid ADULT library card and a current photo ID must be presented at checkout.
Borrowers must be in good standing with the library with nothing owed on the card.
Borrower must have at least a 4-month membership. No temporary cards.
Borrowers must be 18 years old or older. Children under age 18 must be supervised by an adult while using the telescope.
Telescope must be transported in a vehicle, and secured safely with the three pillows in the provided tote with the eyepiece and EZ-Finder positioned up towards the lid so it will not be damaged.

Members can access these properties for free with a timed entry or daily parking pass.

To comply with reduced capacity requirements, the Aquarium has implemented a timed-ticketing system. Every visitor, including members, must select a time slot when purchasing tickets. Children under three will continue to receive free entry, but they must have a ticket and reserved time slot along with their caregiver.
Instructions for redemming you library pass:

Guidelines for Borrowing and Use
The telescope may only be checked out and returned to a staff member at the Information/Reference Desk.
Borrower must be a Fitchburg resident who is 18 years old or older.
A valid ADULT library card and a current photo ID must be presented at checkout.
Borrowers must be in good standing with the library with nothing owed on the card.
Borrower must have at least a 4-month membership. No temporary cards.
Borrowers must be 18 years old or older. Children under age 18 must be supervised by an adult while using the telescope.
Telescope must be transported in a vehicle, and secured safely with the three pillows in the provided tote with the eyepiece and EZ-Finder positioned up towards the lid so it will not be damaged.
Loan Rules and Duration

Reserve online through our TixKeeper System (the one used for museum passes) or call the library to reserve.
The telescope will only be available for pick up on the day of your reservation (no early pick-up).
The telescope will be checked out from the Information/Reference Desk in the Adult Library.
The telescope must be returned only to a librarian at the Information/Reference Desk in the Adult Library.
The telescope may only be picked up by the person with the reservation. Do not loan to others.
Fines are $5 per day. If the telescope is not returned within two weeks of its due date, you will be charged the $375 replacement cost. The Fitchburg Police Department may be notified.
You must sign the lending agreement each time you use the telescope.

You must have an ADULT library card that is at least 2 months old and has no fines. You may not use a Temporary card.

The device will only be available for pick up during your two-week reservation period. (no early pick-up). Your reservation will not be extended.
If you reserve a hotspot and do not pick it up, you will be charged a $5.00 fee.
Return to Fitchburg Circulation Desk ONLY, not in the Book Drop. A $10 fine will be assessed if the book drop is used.
Fines are $5 a day for each day the device is kept past the 2 week loan period. The device will be shut off on the second day it is overdue. You will be charged a $15 shut off fee plus the $5 per day fine.
If we have to shut-off the hotspot you may not be allowed to borrow it again for one year.
If the hot spot is not returned, you will be charged the replacement fee of $145. The Fitchburg Police Department may be notified.
The person with the reservation must pick up the device with their own library card, proof of address, and a photo ID.
Replacement costs: $5.00 for the users’ guide, $5.00 for the power plug, $5.00 for the power cord, $120 for the device, and a $10 service fee.

The admissions process will be contactless. When you drive onto the property, please keep your car windows rolled up. You will be asked to show your tickets and the museum pass to our admission staff through your car window.
All members of your party must arrive together in one car or you must distribute tickets before arriving at Tower Hill. We do not have a place for parties to gather outside the gate.

Over?110?Trustees properties are once again open to the public. These include our most popular properties which have reopened their outdoor spaces on a controlled basis to provide more access to nature during the COVID-19 pandemic.
deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum in Lincoln, Castle Hill in Ipswich, Fruitlands Museum in Harvard, Long Point Wildlife Refuge on Martha's Vineyard, Naumkeag in Stockbridge, and World’s End in Hingham are open with a required timed or daily parking pass that will limit overcrowding and keep both visitors and staff safe by staying aligned with the?state’s social distancing guidelines. Members can access these properties for free with a timed entry or daily parking pass.
Timed and daily parking passes for all visitors, including Members, must be reserved online ahead of time for these properties. Visitors without these passes will not be allowed to enter. In keeping with the Governor’s most recent order, all visitors above the age of two are required to bring and wear a face covering.
Crane Beach in Ipswich is also open with timed parking passes, and the release schedule for these passes is posted here. Permit holders can access Crane Beach for free with their permit and a daily parking pass. Members can reserve discounted timed entry parking passes according to the pass release schedule.
