The George Cole Trio featuring vocalist/guitarist George Cole, pianist Richard Nelson Hall and bassist Carla Kaufman play Nat Cole songs with great swing and virtuosity. Wayne Siligo has served as Music Director at the California School for the Blind in Fremont for over 35 years, as well as teaching and mentoring, volunteering his time with a major blindness association, composing and performing music, and authoring several works of fiction and nonfiction. The titles featured at this event will be "Grab My Arm, Let's See the World" and "From the Teacher's Closet: Blindness, Reflections & Memories."
 
The Daybreak Trio from the California School for the Blind, led by Wayne Siligo, will be performing at this event. The trio play a variety of soft jazz, Cajun, Latin, and world music, including original arrangements.

Join us for an origami workshop with local artist Nga Trinh. Learn to make simple folds with recycled paper to make beautiful shapes, including a fan, leaf, umbrella top and a lovely small box.

Fixit Clinic is a troubleshooting and discovery workshop where everyone's helping everyone else fix their stuff: you are expected to actively participate in the disassembly, troubleshooting, and repair of your item so that you leave fully empowered to share your new-found confidence and insight with your friends, neighbors, and the community at large.

- Bring the broken item with all parts necessary to recreate the symptoms (carry-in only: no oversize items)
- Bring any parts and tools you already own that might be helpful (e.g. hand tools, sewing supplies)
- Come ready to clearly describe what’s wrong and what you’ve tried
- Come eager to learn and to share your skills and knowledge with others
