Tales for 2s and 3s

A storytime specifically geared for toddlers who are 24-36 months old with a caregiver. We will read great stories, sing songs, and have plenty of music, movement, and fun that encourages your toddler’s language and development skills! Caregivers are encouraged to actively engage in activities with their child! No registration required. No storytime September 27, October 4 and November 22.

Yoga for Kids with Ms. Leah

Students in grades 2-5 can join Leah Younkins, BWSD Special Education Teacher and Registered Yoga Teacher, for a non-competitive 45 minute yoga class incorporating asana, breath work and a short meditation! Practice will be beginner friendly and fun! Class size will be limited to 12 students per class to provide individualized attention and instruction. Please wear comfortable clothing and bring a yoga mat/towel and water.  Registration required for each class attending.

Believe it or not, many cars are now being sold without CD players!  Learn how to still listen to audio books, your favorite songs and more without a CD player in your vehicle.  Have you heard of podcasts and never knew how to get started listening to them – we'll help you get on the podcast bandwagon! Christmas Ornaments to Knit or Crochet

Library Board of Trustees Meeting

Members of the Baldwin Board of Trustees are volunteers who donate their time and service to the library and it’s role in the community. The Board sets policy, fiscal goals and strategic direction in support of the Library’s mission and vision.

Baldwin Borough Public Library's Board of Trustees is composed of seven citizens of the community, appointed by Baldwin Borough Council. They serve 3-year terms and may be reappointed. The Board meets monthly at 7pm on the third Thursday of each month at the Library and all meetings are open to the public.

Paws for a Cause with Animal Friends

We welcome Animal Friends back to the library for our fall program lineup! Children will have the opportunity to meet and read aloud to an approved literacy cat or dog, hear stories and participate in a literacy activity.  Readers of all ages and abilities are welcomed! Because all visits are on a volunteer basis, we ask all participants to bring along one item from the Animal Friends Supply Drive list which can be found hereRegistration required.

The PBS KIDS ScratchJr program series is designed for families with children ages 5-8 (siblings welcome) and introduces coding to children by giving them a chance to create their own animated stories using PBS KIDS characters. At each session, we will Eat (dinner for all families will be provided), Explore (hands-on exploration of series goals, Make (families work together to create their own projects on the PBS KIDS ScrachJr app and Share (families share out ideas, learn from one another and build a sense of community). Registration required and includes all four sessions. Registration begins October 22 and is available to 10 families.

Teen Pizza Pizzaz
6:30 PM - 8:00 PM

Students in grades 6-12 will enjoy working alongside classmates, learning techniques to make Margherita pizza from scratch.  We’ll get hands-on and cover all the basics such as rules for handling knives, how to read and follow recipes, measuring and mixing, and the importance of kitchen safety. Pizza sampling will be available. Pizzas will be taken home oven-ready!  Registration required.

ITEMS TO BRING TO PROGRAM:  1 cookie sheet, 1 small mixing bowl, 1 large mixing bowl, 1 kitchen towel, measuring cups, measuring spoons, wooden spoon for mixing dough
