Chill Out and Read Winter Reading Club

Winter Reading Club is free and simple! Just stop into the library and pick up a reading record! Every time you read or listen to a book, simply record it by title or tally mark. You will receive raffle tickets for reading and become eligible to win prizes at the end of each month! Teen and adult clubs also available!

Bouncing Babies and Books

University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy Series - Diabetes
6:30 PM - 7:30 PM

One third of all people with diabetes are not aware they have it. Find out if you are at risk. Learn about meal plans, lifestyle changes, and medications from a pharmacist’s perspective. Share your questions and concerns with Dr. Sharon Connor and student pharmacists from the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy.  Registration is not required.

Tales for 2s and 3s - CANCELLED DUE TO WEATHER

A storytime specifically geared for toddlers who are 24-36 months old with a caregiver. We will read great stories, sing songs, and have plenty of music, movement, and fun that encourages your toddler’s language and development skills! Caregivers are encouraged to actively engage in activities with their child! No registration required.

Book Cooks - CANCELLED DUE TO WEATHER

Young chefs (preschool-grade 2) will develop an appetite for nutritious foods while being introduced to books that reinforce social and academic skills.  Experience new foods and new books! Registration required. Please refer to our listing below for cooking supplies needed for each class.

Supplies needed for March 21 class:  1 medium bowl with lid, wooden spoon, measuring cups, measuring spoons, rolling pin, baking sheet

Family Fun Nights

Family Fun Nights are a wonderful way for families to spend quality and fun time together!  Join us each month for a new theme and a lot of family-friendly activities.  All Fun Nights are open to all ages! Registration required for each program.

Preschool Story Alphabet Explorers

Bagels, Bunnies and Baskets
11:00 AM - 12:15 PM

Hop on over to our library for our second annual egg hunt! Join us for bagels and juice, visit the therapy bunnies from Animal Friends (non-adoptable), get your picture taken with the Easter Bunny (optional), enjoy crafts and games, and go on a library egg hunt (to be held outdoors weather permitting, or indoors should it rain).

This is a free event; however any donations, either monetary or supply drive items, for our friends at Animal Friends will be greatly appreciated.  For a complete listing of supply drive items, please visit https://goo.gl/CKGaEj.  We will also have a springtime basket raffle, with all proceeds benefiting the Baldwin Library.  Tickets are $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00

 High blood pressure affects about 1 in 3 American adults. Learn about ways to monitor your blood pressure and lifestyles to promote a healthy heart. Additionally, understand high cholesterol from a pharmaceutical perspective. Improve your numbers, stay healthy, and prevent this disease through simple diet and exercise changes. Student pharmacists from the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy will present this fact-filled program. Registration is not required.
