Teen Musical Theater - OZ! REGISTRATION
1:00 PM - 3:00 PM

Monday & Friday rehearsals from 1:00-3:00 pm

Registration required?: Yes and begins May 15. Registering on this form will register you for all summer rehearsals. PLEASE PICK UP A SCRIPT FROM THE LIBRARY ONCE YOU HAVE REGISTERED!!

Ages: Grades 6-12.

Students entering grades 6-12 are encouraged to participate in this year's musical, OZ! Rehearsals will be held twice a week for two hours each day with a performance on August 16 at 7:00 pm.  You must be available for most of the rehearsals and for the performance date.  Parental permission forms are available at the library and must be completed before the first rehearsal is held.

Rehearsal dates: Mondays, June 10-August 5 and Fridays, June 14-August 9 from 1:00-3:00 pm at the Baldwin Library.

Tech week: August 12-15 from 1:00-3:00 pm - location TBA

Performance Night: August 16 at 7:00 pm - location TBA

Please wear comfortable clothing and bring a yoga mat or towel and water.

Teens entering grades 6-12 will practice the vinyasa flow style of yoga, which links breathing with yoga poses and movement.  No prior experience with yoga is necessary.  The practice can be modified to meet the needs of individual teens. Cruise Into Kindergarten with PlayK

With materials provided through the Cruise into Kindergarten program grant by The Office of Commonwealth Libraries, we are excited for our third summer series of Play K programs. The Play K curriculum allows children entering Kindergarten in the fall to learn necessary skills through educational play and themed playscapes. All activities are aligned with the PA Learning Standards and Kindergarten readiness skills such as using scissors, using a calendar and taking turns.

Y on the Fly

The YMCA of Greater Pittsburgh and PNC Financial Services are once again bringing Y On the Fly to neighborhood libraries, delivering games, activities and healthy snacks. Each visit will incorporate active play and discussion around healthy eating. Activities will include jumping rope, various sports, obstacle courses and games with water. After play, kids will be provided with a nutritious snack, which they help to make, and are then given the recipe to take home.

Yoga for Teens - CANCELLED

Ages: Grades 6-12.
 
Teens entering grades 6-12 will practice the vinyasa flow style of yoga, which links breathing with yoga poses and movement.  No prior experience with yoga is necessary.  The practice can be modified to meet the needs of individual teens. Please wear comfortable clothing and bring a yoga mat or towel. Class dates include: June 13, 20, 27; July 25; August 1, 8, 15.

Kinderflute - RESCHEDULED FOR JULY 22

Ages: 4-9

KinderFlute is a program perfect for children ages 4-9 that teaches music and how to play flute through games and movement. We are offering two, FREE, introductory classes taught by a private flute teacher and KinderFlute instructor, Katie Shesko. Flutes and materials for activities will all be provided, with an option to borrow the practice instrument with a monetary deposit.
