Your child can join Allegheny County Parks for a wonderful Lightening Bugs program via Facebook (pre-recorded)! As the sky darkens, fireflies light the night. Learn about our official state insect, the fascinating lives they lead, and how we can all play a part in ensuring they are around for the enjoyment of future generations.
Please visit the ACLA Youth Services Facebook page on June 25 @ 11:00 am to view this premiere.

Help us paint our picnic tables! In 2019, we invited the community to paint our new fence. Now, we have three picnic tables that need some paint as well!
Color our Library, and sign-up to add your personal touch with some artwork on our tables. This is how it'll work:
- Three tables will have 5 areas for painting.
- Sign-up for an hour long painting session. One family/group per session. 15 groups total. There is no age or group limit. Could be 1 or 6.
- Each group will be assigned a section of the picnic table to paint!
- Sessions start at 10:00 AM with the last group at 2PM.
- We ask that groups check-in so they can be shown their sections and get their materials.
