Our Winter Reading Program AND our WQED Inquire Within Kickoff is here!! We are thrilled to announce our partnership with WQED Inquire Within through the generosity of Gateway Health!
Children and teens can add fun to the cold winter months by joining our Winter Reading Program! Just follow the simple steps below!
1) REGISTER ONLINE, then visit our library via curbside pickup* for a Winter Reading Kit (reading logs, activity sheets, winter bingo, winter activity book and more)!
2) READ or LISTEN to books, audiobooks, Wonderbooks, graphic novels, board books, early readers, picture books, mysteries, fiction, nonfiction, romance or ask us for suggestions! We are also happy to make you a book bundle to go!
3) ENTER TO WIN as listed below:
One reading log can be submitted for one prize entry (via curbside dropoff or via email) for every:
- 10 books read (pre-readers)
- 5 books read (early readers)
- 3 books read (readers)
- 1 book read (tweens/teens)
Each submitted reading log is eligible to win monthly prizes made available through our WQED Inquire Within partnership and through the genersity of Gateway Health!
* Winter Reading Kit pickup begins Monday, January 18 and will continue daily during operating hours M-TH 10:00 am-6:00 pm and F 10:00 am-3:00 pm.

This month's craft is a DIY Valentines Gnome. Kits include craft fur, felt, and a wooden bead. You will need to provide a sock, rice, and a hot glue gun. Registration is required to reserve a kit.

Meet us on Zoom for seven games of BINGO and a few laughs! Register here and pick up your BINGO kit ( BINGO cards and candy markers) at the library, starting on Friday, February 5th. If you have more than 1 bingo player, register each person separately, please.

Adults can celebrate Valentine's Day by joining your spouse, significant other, best friend or favorite date to create a unique art project, via Zoom, led by local artist Michelle! Choose either a co-joined or individual unique project to paint. No painting experience necessary! You’ll love the results and in-person or virtual time spent with your special date! Simply register, and a Zoom link will be emailed to you prior to the program.

We are bringing our annual Picture Book Children's Choice event to your child! We will read one book each month (October through February) on our YouTube channel or Facebook page, along with a related activity. In March 2021, everyone will have the opportunity to let their voice be heard by voting for their favorite book from the five selected titles! No registration required!
This year's book titles include Because, Big Boys Cry, The Hundred-Year Barn, Lubna and Pebble and When Grandma Gives You A Lemon Tree.

Tired of staring at the screen? All you need for this trivia are your ears!
Join us for Pub-style Trivia, Music edition! All questions will be about songs, artists and records. This unique twist will have you listening to all your old favorites and testing your knowledge of music throughout the decades.
- One person from each team registers.
- A ZOOM link will be emailed out to the team contact prior to the game, with the game link and instructions. Note: Although mostly sound based, you will still need a PC to look at images and submit answers.
- There is no limit on team size, but we’ll need a guess on how many PCs will be logging in so we can accommodate a large crowd.

Read Across America Day, also known as Dr Seuss Day, is a yearly observance in the USA inaugurated by the NEA (National Education Association). It is held on the school day that is nearest to March 2, Dr Seuss birthday. Theodor Seuss Geisel was an American artist, book publisher, animator, poet, a political cartoonist as well as an author. He is best known for authoring over 60 children’s books.
