Cleveland Culinary Day Trip

Depart for Cleveland’s fabulous West Side Market in the Ohio City District. This is the oldest market of its kind in the U.S., featuring ethnic Cuisine, baked goods, fresh meats, cheeses and so much more!  Free time to shop.  Enjoy lunch at CROP (Creative Restaurant Operations Platform), located in a beautiful restored bank building across for the market.  After lunch we will depart for Little Italy, drive through Lakeview Cemetery, which is the resting place of John D. Remake Learning Days

Join us at the library as we take part in Remake Learning Days! Introductory sewing machine skills will be taught to young makers (grades K-5) through the process of creating their own apron.  Students will have the opportunity to select and cut their fabric as well as trim, work with patterns, learn basic sewing techniques and learn how to safely and properly operate a sewing machine. Banana Split Tribute Day Trip

We will arrive at the Ramada of Ligonier where we will receive a red carpet welcome and a plated luncheon with a Banana Split bar.  Enjoy “Jukebox & Malt Shop Hits”, with music from the ‘50’s and ‘60’s performed by Cathi Rhodes.

After lunch and entertainment we will go to the Latrobe Art Center for hands-on activity themed around the banana split. Next we’ll visit the Unity Chapel in Latrobe and learn about its role in the French and Indian War. Please register with full payment by June 16, 2017.
