OUTDOOR Story Time

Enjoy this socially distanced, outdoor story time on the Bethel Library lawn! Chairs are welcome. Registration is by family. This event is suitable for children ages 1 to 4.

Attendees ages 3 and up are required to wear a mask while attending this event. Registration is required as space is limited.

Retirement: Making Your Money Last. Presenter: Maria Xavier. ***ZOOM meeting***

Once you can picture your retirement, you’ll need a strategy designed to help make it happen.

Join us for Retirement: Making Your Money Last. We’ll discuss ways to help you work toward fulfilling your retirement expectations. And, we’ll focus on how to provide for your income needs, including your retirement income for the future. We’ll also explore how to address key concerns such as inflation, health care expenses, market volatility and unexpected events.

Maria Xavier, a financial advisor with Edward Jones, returns for another practical program, and we hope you'll join us to learn about retirement strategies.

STEM @ Home for Teens: Ozobots
6:30 PM - 7:30 PM

Join us via Zoom for this week's STEM lesson for grades 6-12 using Ozobots provided by the library! Ozobots are small coding robots that move, light up, and make sounds. 

In this lesson, attendees are given the challenge to produce an OzoBlockly program that will blink Ozobot's LED in accordance with Morse code!

Rhinestones, sequins, fringe, denim...you name it, the 00's had it. Think you know 00's pop culture and events? Join us to test your knowledge!

This event will be held via Zoom, and we ask that you have your account set up and a team name ready prior to the event. From 6:30 to 7, teams will be sorted and trivia will begin promptly at 7pm. If you need help getting Zoom setup on your device, please call the library. This program is open to teens and adults!

Join us via Zoom for this week's STEM lesson for grades 6-12 using Edison robots provided by the library! Edisons are small, programmable robots that are used for learning coding and robotics.

In this lesson, attendees learn how to program Edison robots using barcodes and EdScratch programming software. Then, create their own obstacle course or maze for the robot to follow.
