Romper Rhymes is a language enrichment program in which nursery rhymes, songs, and fingerplays are shared with babies and their parents or caregivers. Storytime is followed by a brief play session with age-appropriate toys. No class March 29. Registration is required and begins Monday, February 19. Non-residents may register one week before the program begins.
Budding Readers is designed to prepare toddlers and their parents or caregivers for Time for Twos storytime. We've started a Dungeons and Dragons Club! Grab your twenty-sided die, rev up your imagination, and embark on an adventure with some friends. Newbies and long-time players are welcome. All players ages 13 and up are welcome to join us. Drop-In - No Registration Required
Genealogy Club meets on the fourth Thursday of the month (except in November and December) from 6:30 p.m. - 8:45 p.m. A Local History librarian provides internet and archival genealogy instruction and research support. Members share ideas and meet other researchers, receive help with research questions and brick wall dilemmas, and share genealogy finds. Use of the genealogy collection in the Local History Department and individual help and instruction is also available.
Family Storytime is designed to serve families of babies, toddlers, and/or preschoolers who want to attend morning storytime together. Children will enjoy a variety of books, flannel stories, musical activities, and/or puppets, along with a simple craft. No class March 30. No registration is required.
Enjoy the matinee CoCo with some popcorn! Children 8 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Movie to be announced in March.
Join Michael Ribet, long time meditator and international speaker, as he discusses how meditation can evoke a deeper state of relaxation and more peace within. He will also demonstrate a powerful meditation technique that can enrich one's life on all levels, and the audience will have a chance to practice this technique as well.
Stop in during the day and join us for some fun paper folding and origami. We will have an experienced paper folder there to help.
Three Weeks to Wed by Ella Quinn
Anyone who loves romance is welcome to join this book club. We will meet on the last Tuesday of every month and discuss books that fall into a particular romance subgenre. This month's theme is "Regency Rogues."
Are you curious about 3D printing? Do you want to learn how to create your own designs and print them out? Teens are welcome to join us for an Introduction to 3D printing class, where we will create our own Tinkercad accounts, learn the basics of 3D Printing and design, and even get to see the 3D Printer in action. No experience is necessary!
Peter Rabbit will be at the library to greet children of all ages. Come and visit with Peter and enjoy a few classic tales of Peter, his friends and other fun stories!
