The Great Decisions discussion program is a civic education program administered and produced by the Foreign Policy Association. In preparation for the discussion, participants read the relevant chapter on a particular foreign policy issue in the Great Decisions briefing book that will be available for check out. A short DVD will be shown followed by a moderated discussion among the participants.
Sigmund Freud developed the fields of neurology, psychotherapy, and psychoanalysis in Vienna at the turn of the twentieth century. Join us for a presentation by Josh Price, Assistant Professor of Humanities at College of DuPage and learn what made Freud a genius in this place and time.
Freud believed that dreams held the key to our subconscious mind, but today, dream journaling is simply a fun way to gain insight into our waking lives. For this craft we will create and decorate paper journals and learn how to keep track of our dreams using the bullet method.
Attendance is limited to 20 people.
Genealogy Club meets on the fourth Thursday of the month (except in November and December) from 6:30 p.m. - 8:45 p.m. A Local History librarian provides internet and archival genealogy instruction and research support. Members share ideas and meet other researchers, receive help with research questions and brick wall dilemmas, and share genealogy finds. Use of the genealogy collection in the Local History Department and individual help and instruction is also available.
