Do you love drawing, doodling, and patterns? Join us for this class taught by Zentagle instructor Laura Marks. 

July 14th 3D Star Class
materials:  Star template (we'll email you the template) printed on white or off white card stock (or copy paper is okay too)
                  black fine tipped pen
                  graphite pencil
                  shading device like a Q-tip with cotton pulled off or small makeup applicator or tortillion
                  scissors
  optional:   colored pencils or pens

This class is recommended for ages 8 and up. To receive an invitation to participate, please email the Reference Desk at cpl@chicopeepubliclibrary.org and tell us which date you want to sign up for. All classes are separate classes; this is not a series. Monday evening dates are July 6 and July 20 from 6-8pm. Tuesday morning dates are July 14 and July 28 from 10 - noon.

For over 20 years, Jeff Belanger has been exploring the unexplained. He seeks out history, folklore, ghosts, monsters, and legends all over the world and in your backyard. New England Legends offers a tour of haunts, monsters, aliens, and weird history from our region. Based on Jeff’s popular weekly podcast and his television series on PBS and Amazon Prime, the program presents highlights from his own adventures, his work, plus a look at the investigation process. Belanger’s presentation will delve into the reasons behind the legends.This program is for high school students and adults.

This program is funded, in part, by a grant from the Chicopee Cultural Council, a local agency supported by the MA Cultural Council.

Join us to craft and chat on zoom. Email us at cpl@chicopeepubliclibrary.org to get your invitation. This week we'll be making a variety of flowers. You will need paper squares, scissors and a pencil. You can embellish with things like markers, colored pencils, pompons. You can glue your flowers onto a piece of cardboard, hang them from string or just arrange them on a flat surface to look beautiful. Origami paper works great, but you can use any kind of paper you have.

To celebrate the Centennial of women's right to vote, join us for a Zoom presentation by Victorian and Edwardian Specialist, Kandie Carle.
