Author Visit - Richard Udden

Almost fifty years ago, Richard Udden made an innocent choice that landed him in the Vietnam War as a combat infantry soldier. Through it all, he figured out how to endure. The experience led to writing 21 Months, 24 Days, a memoir about his journey to the war and back.

Richard will share some of those memories in a presentation with snapshots from Vietnam titled, The Choices We Make. On the surface is his story of ending up a grunt in Vietnam. Underneath is a story of acceptance and coping with the strain of war. He ends with ideas that have helped him replace innocent choices with informed ones and remain calm under fire.
