Outdoor Storytime @ Hall

Join us for an outdoor storytime for children ages 0 - 5 to attend with their cargivers. The program will last about forty-five minutes and include readalouds, rhymes and songs, creative activities, and games! No registration is required, but please note that there will be very little shade. Participants are encouraged to wear sunscreen and hats and bring blankets to sit on.

In case of inclement weather, the program will take place in the library's program room.

Planet Kindergarten @ Central

Just like the book, this class will prepare explorers to go where they've never gone before: Kindergarten.  This program will be offered twice on Tuesdays during the eight week summer reading program.  Designed for four and five years old children to practice reading, writing, singing, drawing and playing together, it is an inclusive program with sensory activities and supports for children with special needs.  The first session will start at 9:30 and end at 10:15. The second session will start at 10:30 and end at 11:15.  Registration is required.  The first session is designed for children to attend independently.  The second is designed for child and caregiver to attend together

As a part of Harry Potter Week at Cranston Public Libraries, we are hosting a Harry Potter Escape Room! Gather a team and try to solve your way out of our escape room in 25 minutes or less. Fantastic Book Club @ Central

The Fantastic Book Club is a club for young people entering grades 4-7 which meets monthly from March to September at 4 PM at the Central Library. This spring and summer, the Fantastic Book Club will be discussing books about "a universe of stories," involving everything from outer space to telling our own story. Be prepared for a lively discussion! Copies of each month's selected book will be available at the Youth Services Desk. Registration is required.
