Dancing Threads Embroidery Lesson @ Hall

In this introduction to hand sewing participants ages 5 and up will learn 3 - 4 basic stitches, then design their own piece of art using a light box, pens, embroidery hoop, and thread. Fiddle N Fun @ Central

  Fiddle N Fun is not your typical early childhood music class. In addition to singing, listening games, movement, and thematic material, each session includes Suzuki-style activities using simple one-stringed instruments; these Fiddlestix are incredibly fun, durable, and have been proven to prepare young listeners for learning the violin.  Recommended for elementary school students.

Due to occupancy limits and contractual agreements with performers, space is limited.  Tickets will be distributed starting a half-hour before this program in the Children's area.

On August 9, we will discuss The Wright 3 by Blue Balliet. In the midst of a series of unexplained accidents and mysterious coincidences, sixth-graders Calder, Petra, and Tommy lead their classmates in an attempt to keep Frank Lloyd Wright's famous Robie House from being demolished.
