The Rhode Island Children's Book Award Book Club for grades 3-5 meets one Monday a month, from 4-5 PM at the Central Library. The first meeting will be on Oct. 21. Subsequent meetings dates are: Nov. 18, Dec. 16, Jan. 13 and Feb. 10.

At each meeting, we discuss 4 of this year's nominees, tied to one theme. Children can read one or more book for each session. In February, members of the club will vote for their favorite title.

X-Ray Vision Family Fun Day @ Central

See inside the human body with books, crafts, and a virtual reality demo. At 10:30 AM, youth services staff will read The Donut that Roared and other books about technology that gives us "x-ray vision."  At 11:00 AM, stations with crafts, a book display, and the library's virtual reality headsets will be open to all.  Free donuts for participants! This program is made possible by a grant from American Society of Radiologic Technologists. Registration is not required.

The Rhode Island Children's Book Award Book Club for grades 3-5 meets one Monday a month, from 4-5 PM at the Central Library. The first meeting will be on Oct. 21. Subsequent meetings dates are: Nov. 18, Dec. 16, Jan. 13 and Feb. 10.

At each meeting, we discuss 4 of this year's nominees, tied to one theme. Children can read one or more book for each session. In February, members of the club will vote for their favorite title.
