Rhode Island Teen Book Award Voting @ all branches

Voting for the Rhode Isand Teen Book Award begins on January 20th and continues until February 28th.   January is the time of year when the teens of Rhode Island get a chance to choose the book they think is the best one they have read from a list selected by teachers, public librarians, and school library media specialists.Those in grades 7 to 12 may vote in all Cranston Public Library locations during hours of opening. Those who turn in a completed ballot will receive a candy reward.

The service is free and no appointments or reservations needed. Laptops are available to use or feel free to bring your own device.

AARP Foundation Tax Aide is available free to taxpayers with low and moderate income, with special attention to those 60+. Service is offered by trained professional volunteers on a first-come, first-served basis. Each taxpayer must bring his/her Social Security Card, a photo ID, last year's tax return, and all 2016 tax information, arranged in an orderly manner.  The IRS has instituted new software and AARP is asking that all taxpayers be patient. 

A nearby AARP site will open on January 31 at Warwick Mall, operating on Tuesdays from 9 am - 12 pm.  The VITA tax site at 311 Doric Avenue in Cranston will also be open. AARP Tax Preparation @ Hall

AARP Foundation Tax Aide is available free to taxpayers with low and moderate income, with special attention to those 60+. Service is offered by trained professional volunteers on a first-come, first-served basis. Each taxpayer must bring his/her Social Security Card, a photo ID, last year's tax return, and all 2016 tax information, arranged in an orderly manner.  The IRS has instituted new software and AARP is asking that all taxpayers be patient. 

A nearby AARP site will open on January 31 at Warwick Mall, operating on Tuesdays from 9 am - 12 pm.  The VITA tax site at 311 Doric Avenue in Cranston will also be open. AARP Foundation Tax Aide is available free to taxpayers with low and moderate income, with special attention to those 60+. Service is offered by trained professional volunteers on a first-come, first-served basis. Each taxpayer must bring his/her Social Security Card, a photo ID, last year's tax return, and all 2016 tax information, arranged in an orderly manner.  The IRS has instituted new software and AARP is asking that all taxpayers be patient. 

A nearby AARP site will open on January 31 at Warwick Mall, operating on Tuesdays from 9 am - 12 pm.  The VITA tax site at 311 Doric Avenue in Cranston will also be open. AARP Tax Preparation @ Hall
10:00 AM - 2:00 PM

AARP Foundation Tax Aide is available free to taxpayers with low and moderate income, with special attention to those 60+. Service is offered by trained professional volunteers on a first-come, first-served basis. Each taxpayer must bring his/her Social Security Card, a photo ID, last year's tax return, and all 2016 tax information, arranged in an orderly manner.  The IRS has instituted new software and AARP is asking that all taxpayers be patient. 

A nearby AARP site will open on January 31 at Warwick Mall, operating on Tuesdays from 9 am - 12 pm.  The VITA tax site at 311 Doric Avenue in Cranston will also be open.
