with her own calling: helping troubled  souls in need of justice.

Good Neighbors by Sarah Langan

Welcome to Maple Street, its residents bound by their children,
their work, and their illusion of safety in a rapidly changing world.
But menace skulks beneath the surface of this exclusive enclave,
making its residents prone to outrage. Excavates the perils and
betrayals of motherhood and friendships and the dangerous clash
between social hierarchy, childhood trauma, and fear.

You Should See Me in a Crown by Leah Johnson

Liz has always believed she's too black, too poor, too awkward
in her small, rich Midwestern town. But Liz has a plan that will get
her out of Campbell, Indiana, forever: attend an elite college, play
in their orchestra, and become a doctor. When the financial aid
she was counting on falls through, Liz's plans come crashing down . . .

Northern Spy by Flynn Berry

Tessa is at work one day when the news of another IRA raid
comes on the air. The IRA may have gone underground, but they
never really went away. Lately, bomb threats and security checkpoints
