Donovan, who is entrusted with negotiating the release of Francis Gary Powers, a pilot in the CIA’s top secret U-2 spy plane program, in exchange for Rudolf Abel, a convicted Soviet KGB spy. At the same time, Frederic Pryor, a naïve graduate student had been arrested in East Germany and James B. Donovan includes Frederic Pryor into the spy-swap negotiations. The CIA wants Donovan to forget about Pryor. Cast: Tom Hanks, Mark Rylance, Alan Alda, Amy Ryan, Billy Magnussen, Eve Hewson. Written by Ethan Coen and Joel Coen and directed by Steven Spielberg.
