Virtual Program: The Backyard Garden...It's a Jungle Out There

This program is going virtual!  Larry Dapsis, Entomologist with the Cape Cod Cooperative Extension will give an overview of what you should include in your pest management tool box for your summer garden.  He will talk about the popular vegetables and small fruits of Cape Cod gardeners and how to manage the principal insect pests. This program will also include an introduction to the “good bugs,” both predators and parasites.  Registration is required so we can connect you to the program through Zoom.

Ticks: “One Bite Can Change Your Life…” - Lyme Disease is the most prevalent tick-borne disease in Massachusetts and is now considered to be a public health crisis. In addition to Lyme, deer ticks can carry the pathogens which cause Babesiosis, Anaplasmosis, Relapsing Fever and Powassan virus, all of which can be very serious.

WATCH THIS 18-MINUTE DOCUMENTARY- “Tick Days” and then join us via ZOOM to talk to Cape Cod Entomologist Larry Dapsis LIVE for a Q&A session about the video and Ticks on Cape Cod!
