Authors Karen Dukess and Christina Clancy

Spend an afternoon happy hour with authors Karen Dukess and Christina Clancy via Zoom.   Make yourself a Cape Codder (with or without alcohol) and join them as they discuss their Cape Cod novels. Everyone who registers will be entered into a giveaway to win a copy of each of their books. Karen and Christina will have a discussion about their books, their writing and their plans for the future.  Registration is required and there will be Q & A following the discussion.  Signed books are available for purchase through Where the Sidewalk Ends Bookstore in Chatham.

The Last Book Party is a propulsive tale of ambition and romance, set in the publishing world of 1980’s New York and the timeless beaches of Cape Cod.  This popular book is a page-turning, coming-of-age story, written with a lyrical sense of place and a profound appreciation for the sustaining power of books that shows what happens when youth and experience collide and what it takes to find your own voice.

The Second Home is also set on Cape Cod.  After a disastrous summer spent at her family summer home on Cape Cod, seventeen-year-old Ann Gordon was left with a secret that changed her life forever, and created a rift between her sister, Poppy, and their adopted brother, Michael. Now, fifteen years later, her parents have died, leaving Ann and Poppy to decide the fate of the Wellfleet home that's been in the Gordon family for generations.  Just when the sisters decide to sell, Michael re-enters their lives with a legitimate claim to the house. But more than that, he wants to set the record straight about that long ago summer. Reunited after years apart, these very different siblings must decide if they can continue to be a family-and the house just might be the glue that holds them together.
