Beginner's Chess

Grades 5 - 12.  DIG USA Chess is partnering with the Edith Wheeler Memorial Library to run a beginner chess program for Grades 5-12 that will practice once a week through Zoom.  The students will learn the basics and then gradually learn tactics and strategies.  The professional chess coach from DIG USA will teach for half of the class and then the students will play each other on Chess.com for the second half of the class.  The chess coach will watch the matches and analyse the students strengths and weaknesses so that the students know how to improve every game!
