Deep Denial, winner of the 2017 Indie Book Award for Current Events/Social Change, takes a broad historical view, from 17th century Virginia through World War II, and post-World War II and the Civil Rights movement, explaining why race is still with us, and what the Civil Rights Movement can tell us about today.

Since 1983, David Billings has been a trainer and organizer with the People’s Institute for Survival and Beyond, a New Orleans-based group led by people of color and the premier anti-racism training group in the country. Register online.
