Tiny Art Exhibition

Artists, crafters, and makers of every kind are invited to submit their miniature masterpieces to be displayed in Flint Public Library's Tiny Art Exhibition for the chance to win an artsy prize! Eligible art includes anything you have created that is small enough to roughly fit in the palm of your hand. Paintings, sculptures, fiber arts, or something else - everything is welcome! Not an artist? Not a problem! You can still participate by voting for your favorite pieces of art.

All submissions should be brought to the upstairs circulation desk by 2PM on Friday, August 12th. There will be three categories: children, teens, and adults. Voting will run from Tuesday, August 16th to Friday, September 2nd and may be done in person or on our website at flintlibrary.org. The winners will be announced on Tuesday, September 6th. There will be one winner per category.

Interested in participating but don't have anything to submit? Check out our Tiny Art Take & Makes that will be available for adults and t(w)eens beginning Tuesday, August 2nd; each take & make will include the materials needed to make a mini painting.

The prize for adults is a Speedball Block Printing Starter Kit (includes all the essentials to get started in block printing). The prize for teens is a 33 piece Bellofy Drawing Kit (includes high-quality graphite pencils, charcoal sticks, a sketchbook, and more). The prize for children is a Lulu Jr. My Comic Book Making Kit (includes everything needed to write and illustrate a full-color, 18 page, professionally printed comic book).

Location: Displayed upstairs by the circulation desk and on our website at flintlibrary.org
