Kyle Lukoff writes books for kids and other people. He spent eight years as an elementary school librarian, but now he writes full time, assists in sensitivity readings and consultations, and presents on children’s and youth literature all across the country. He got hired at a bookstore when he was sixteen, which means he’s been working at the intersection of books and people for well over half his life.
Please join us as Kyle discusses his work, his process, and answers questions!
This program will be held on Zoom. We will send a link with instructions on the day of the program.

Just beginning to read chapter books? Then, check out this virtual book club of "Branches" titles. These beginner books have vibrant illustrations and fun characters. Each month we will focus on a different book series and complete a STEM activity. Make sure you register to save your spot. Then, we will send you an email to arrange a pickup time for your copy of this month's book (to keep!) and the supplies for the STEM activity.
This month's book is "Press Start - Game Over, Super Rabbit Boy" by Thomas Flintham and the activity is a build-your-own chain reaction set. It will take some time to design, test out, and improve your chain reaction, so we recommend getting started on the STEM activity ahead of the book club meeting. Then, you can show-off your chain reaction design during the Zoom meeting. Camera and microphone required to fully use Zoom, but you can turn off the camera and mute the mic if you prefer.
