In this hands-on class, students will work together in groups to come up with story ideas, storyboard them out, create characters, sets, and props needed out of clay, paper, and other materials. They will put up the sets they made, light them, and film their characters using stop motion animation. The focus will be on creating a project from conception to completion. The final class will be the premiere of the films the students have created. Family and friends are welcome to the screening. 8 Classes. Limited to 10 students. Class led by animator Tim Smyth.

Papercrafting and Card Making

A card making and paper crafting class for beginners as well as those with stamping and papercrafting experience.

We will be creating projects such as multi layered cards, bookmarks and 3-D Items, using several techniques including stamping, die cutting, and embossing.

All supplies included, but feel free to bring your own coloring  tools, scissors, adhesive, etc if you have a favorite. Workshop led by Ruth Tinkham.

We will be creating projects such as multi layered cards, bookmarks and 3-D Items, using several techniques including stamping, die cutting, and embossing.

All supplies included, but feel free to bring your own coloring  tools, scissors, adhesive, etc if you have a favorite. Workshop led by Ruth Tinkham.

Stories with Tosh

Do you like to read and like dogs?  Our cute and cuddly Therapy Dog, Tosh is available, once monthly, on Thursday afternoons, for Children that are able to read independently.  Tosh is a Bichon Frise. You can book a 15 minute time slot to cuddle up privately with the dog to practice your reading skills (the dog's owner will be present the entire time).  Time slots available are:  4:00, 4:15, 4:30, 4:45.  When registering, please choose a time slot and input it next to your first name.  (Example:  Joseph  7:15).  You will be called 1-2 days prior to your visit to confirm.  Register online or call the Children's Room.
