When Your Heart Speaks: Is Your Chest Pain Serious?
12:00 PM - 1:00 PM

When Your Heart Speaks: Is Your Chest Pain Serious? Understanding Causes and When to Seek Help.

Cardiologist Dr. Chawla discusses the many causes of chest pain, from the common to the critical, differentiating  between heart-related chest pain and other types of discomfort (acid reflux, muscle strain, anxiety). Learn the warning signs that should never be ignored, including the subtle symptoms of a heart attack that are often missed.

Chest pain is one of the most alarming symptoms a person can experience, often triggering fear and uncertainty. But not all chest pain is created equal—some signals require immediate attention, while others may be less serious. How do you know when to worry?

His only desire: collect a little beer money and enjoy his final summer before college. So he lands a job as a laborer on a construction crew. Working alongside two Vietnam vets, one suffering from PTSD, Vincent gets the education of a lifetime. Now forty years later, with his own son leaving for college, the lessons of that summer dramatically unfold in a novel about breaking away, shaping a life, and seeking one’s own destiny.

Everyone in My Family Has Killed Someone by Benjamin Stevenson

"Everyone in my family has killed someone. Some of us, the high achievers, have killed more than once. I’m not trying to be dramatic, but it is the truth. Some of us are good, others are bad, and some just unfortunate.  I’m Ernest Cunningham. Call me Ern or Ernie. I wish I’d killed whoever decided our family reunion should be at a ski resort, but it’s a little more complicated than that.  Have I killed someone? Yes. I have.  Who was it?"
