Holiday Egg Decorating - Pysanky-Style

Follow along in Parts 1, 2, and 3 and create a winter scene on your Ukranian Pysanky-style egg. Presented by Olivia Nosal

Watch for the Premiere Videos on Facebook--Part 1 will be the longest, Parts 2 and 3 will follow in succession, but in the next hour to give you time to catch up if you are doing this live.  Our recommendation is for you to have made a drawing on your white egg prior to seeing Part 1.  Videos will be kept up on Facebook so that you can review repeatedly if necessary.

Pysanky Egg Dye (usually sold as a set)
Silicone baking tray or foil-lined tray

Chinese Calligraphy for Adults

Jo Jo Liu will instruct students in the art of Chinese Calligraphy, one of the most traditional art forms in the world, truly representative of eastern art and culture. Jo Jo Liu was taught and inspired by her grandfather to practice Chinese calligraphy from a young age. She adopted a modern twist to traditional Chinese calligraphy. Join Gary Paul once again for a hike around a large dry kettlehole.  The trail map tells us a kettle hole is a circular hollow created when a block of glacier ice was buried and later melted. At the southern end of the trail is a side path to the bottom of the kettle hole. Please wear weather-appropriate clothing and shoes.

Outdoor Fly Casting Workshop

The Thames Valley Chapter of Trout Unlimited will teach the 4 basic fly casts in an outdoor session in Ledyard with plenty of instructors on hand.  All supplies and equipment are included.  Contact tracing will be required for each participant. Stay tuned for location.
