Teens Teach Technology is a youth organization where their mission is to teach senior citizens and adults about modern technology, including basic techniques, such as social media, daily applications and entertainment. Teaching these lessons that they have created to the elderly and adult population in our community, in order to help improve their knowledge in a field that is unfamiliar to them, technology.

This will be done all completely online, through Zoom calls, in order to comply with social distancing guidelines. Each lesson will be taught over the course of three days.

Halloween Trivia - All Ages

Join us for a spooky good time! We will be offering a Zoom and Kahoot trivia all about Halloween. It will be designed for families, so all ages can participate. As we are also streaming on Facebook Live, there will not be prizes – instead, simply tell us at the desk that you participated after, and you will receive a small prize! Registration required ahead of time to receive the link to the Zoom. 2 devices are required to participate via Kahoot and Zoom, but you can also stream the trivia on Facebook Live if you do not have the devices required.

This wonderful coding program will consist of 6 classes.  Snapology courses focus on building, creating, designing, and problem solving in a fun virtual environment.  To participate in these classes the following supplies are needed at home:  loose LEGO bricks, (any color) about enough to fill a 1-gallon size storage baga and a computer or tablet with a webcam to attend the class virtually via ZOOM.  Registration is required for each individual class.  Appropriate for ages 7 to 10.

This class is Archaeology 101: Let's Dig:  Learn what it takes to be an archaeologist by practicing techniques used by archaeologists to uncover artifacts.  Delve into some of history's most famous archaeological sites and create a LEGO site of your own!

Ludington | Chair Yoga - Balance & Meditation

A new one-hour recurring program containing chair yoga postures and breath work; balance postures while standing; and meditation. Movements will be done while gently twisting, bending and stretching according to each participant's ability. Benefits include increased flexibilty, balance, and an inproved mental state. Experienced instructor, Sinclair Brown, has been adapting these postures during the pandemic. She suggests you have a low-backed, stable, armless chair and loose-fitting clothing. Ms. Lindsay will be teaching all about Waangari Maathai, a Kenyan political activist focused on environmental issues. Our story will be Waangari Maathai: The Woman Who Planted Millions of Trees by Franck Prevot. -The group will meet virtually using Zoom.
-Each discussion takes place bi-weekly. Each meeting focuses on a film selected by one of the group members.
-Meetings are open to the public, contact Gladwyne Library to join.
-A rotating schedule is established of who picks the movie for each meeting. The person selecting the movie each week will pick 3 films for the group to vote on prior to the next meeting.
-Each selected film must be available for free on various platforms (ex: Local library, Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, etc.) If anyone has issues finding ways to view a film please notify the group in advance of that weeks meeting.

This wonderful coding program will consist of 6 classes.  Snapology courses focus on building, creating, designing, and problem solving in a fun virtual environment.  To participate in these classes the following supplies are needed at home:  loose LEGO bricks, (any color) about enough to fill a 1-gallon size storage baga and a computer or tablet with a webcam to attend the class virtually via ZOOM.  Registration is required for each individual class.  Appropriate for ages 7 to 10.
 
This class is Pokedex Challenge (based on Pokemon): Do you know how many types of Pokemon there are?  How about the number of Pokemon in the original generation?  Come put your knowledge to the test as we build as many Pokemon as we can, and quickly!

A new one-hour recurring program containing chair yoga postures and breath work; balance postures while standing; and meditation. -The group will meet virtually using Zoom.
-Each discussion takes place bi-weekly. Each meeting focuses on a film selected by one of the group members.
-Meetings are open to the public, contact Gladwyne Library to join.
-A rotating schedule is established of who picks the movie for each meeting. The person selecting the movie each week will pick 3 films for the group to vote on prior to the next meeting.
-Each selected film must be available for free on various platforms (ex: Local library, Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, etc.) If anyone has issues finding ways to view a film please notify the group in advance of that weeks meeting.

A new one-hour recurring program containing chair yoga postures and breath work; balance postures while standing; and meditation. Movements will be done while gently twisting, bending and stretching according to each participant's ability. Benefits include increased flexibilty, balance, and an inproved mental state. Experienced instructor, Sinclair Brown, has been adapting these postures during the pandemic. She suggests you have a low-backed, stable, armless chair and loose-fitting clothing. Registration required by mbass@lmls.org

Ms. Lindsay will be reading, “Pies From Nowhere: How Georgia Gilmore Sustained The Montgomery Bus Boycott” by Dee Romito. This is the story of Georgia Gilmore, a woman who helped financially sustain the bus boycott through sales of dinners and baked goods. After the story, there will be a discussion about the bus boycotts, segregation, and the Civil Rights Movement. Lastly, there will be a short activity to complete that you can get from the library ahead of time. Registration is required, and is limited to 12 people. This event is for school age children.

A new one-hour recurring program containing chair yoga postures and breath work; balance postures while standing; and meditation. Movements will be done while gently twisting, bending and stretching according to each participant's ability. Benefits include increased flexibilty, balance, and an inproved mental state. Experienced instructor, Sinclair Brown, has been adapting these postures during the pandemic. She suggests you have a low-backed, stable, armless chair and loose-fitting clothing. School-Year Schedule: Alternating Wednesdays
Group A meets 1st & 3rd Wednesdays 4-5:30 pm
Group B meets 2nd & 4th Wednesdays 4-5:30 pm

NO D&D: Nov 4 & 25, Dec 23 & 30

Games will be held online at Roll20.net. Direct link to private game will be sent via email. Zoom will be used for audio only.

Both Groups hope to return to in-person play when COVID allows. Schedule to be determined.

Ages 12 and up. Come learn how to play Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition. A great introduction to role-playing games and a chance to practice math, problem solving, and teamwork while having fun! Registration is required. Continuing attendance is encouraged.
