Ludington | Lucky Dragon No. 5: Hollywood and the Atom Bomb
4:00 PM - 5:00 PM

Join us for an informative Lecture regarding Godzilla to Dr. Strangelove: How film and TV reflected and amplified America's experience of the Cold War. The bomb and nuclear energy have been the inspiration for comedy, propaganda, melodrama, satire and more over the years, often a response to current events and sometimes anticipating them. As Americans dug fall-out shelters and their kids ducked under their desks in air-raid drills, Hollywood covered the entire human experience, well past the Cold War and into today's time.
