Learn the basics of drawing in this eight week class for adults. This class is perfect for those who've always wanted to try drawing, but don't know where to start. We will draw from observation and from photographs, and learn various techniques for improving our hand-eye coordination. You will learn that drawing is not a “natural” talent, but a skill that can be learned and practiced! No previous drawing experience is necessary.

Registration is required. Please plan on attending all eight sessions on the following dates:

Science in the Summer takes place Wednesday and Thursday, June 26-27 this year at Ardmore Library. The theme is the Science of Me, including topics on DNA and how we eat, breathe, and think.

Registration starts at noon on Friday, May 17 for residents of Montgomery County. Space fills up very fast, sometimes in the first 10 minutes, so don't delay! Waitlists are available if your first choice is taken.

This is your opportunity to get your questions answered by a real astronaut! On July 16, we will be hosting the American Swedish Historical Museum for a Swedes in Space program to discover the wonders of space and learn what it takes to become an astronaut. The Museum has reached out to world renowned Swedish astronaut Christer Fuglesang and he has agreed to participate in a recorded Skype interview to answer your questions. The interview will be conducted soon, so send us your space related questions by Friday April 5th and we will pass them onto the Museum. Join us for the program on Tuesday, July 16 to watch the interview!

Join us for free movie screenings at the library!

The last Tuesday of each month this summer will be a PG-13 movie. We have new releases in May and a few movies about pets in June. Our theme this summer is A Universe of Stories, so many of the movies in July and August are space-themed. We also have films that will appeal to teens and adults sprinkled throughout.

3rd and 4th Wednesdays, June-August

Ages 12 and up. Come learn how to play Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition. A great introduction to role-playing games and a chance to practice math, problem solving, and more while having fun! Registration is required for each session. Continuing attendance is encouraged, but not required.
