Chair Yoga (Online Program)

This popular virtual Chair Yoga class focuses on a full-body practice from head to toe and will help strengthen your nervous system and reduce stress and stiffness. Kathleen Regan has been practicing yoga since 1993, and she has been practicing for even longer. Certified in Hatha/Raja Yoga, she is also a certified Kundalini instructor. Please wear comfortable clothing and set up in a clean, unobstructured environment. The instructor recommends eating only a light meal or practicing on an empty stomach. You'll need a chair (without arms). This advanced beginner Hatha yoga class is designed to strengthen and lengthen your muscles and free your mind. Instructor Stephanie Durso will guide you into each pose and provide alignment cues for holding the pose and breathing deeply. Most poses are performed on a mat, but there are some seated chair modifications available if desired.  

Bring a sturdy chair and wear light clothing. If you have a knee issue, use a folded towel or garden kneeling pad for poses that require kneeling. Optional props: yoga block (or large book or firm pillow); yoga strap (or men’s tie or belt).
