This program is designed to help people with pre-diabetes and existing diabetes as well as their relatives and caregivers gain a better understanding of diabetes self-care. Participants can expect to learn about diabetes and its risks, the role of diet and exercise, how to deal with pain and fatigue, managing medications, and much more.

This program runs for six weeks (11/7 - 12/19) and is offered by Quality Insights Quality Innovation Network.

You only need to register for the 11/7 class to be registered for the entire series.

Being able to speak Spanish is a better way to communicate when you travel and being bilingual can make you more competitive in the workplace. In this eight week program for native English speakers, you will have the opportunity to practice listening and speaking with a native Spanish speaker in a small group setting.

Participants should be able to commit to attending all classes.

Classes will meet on 11/1, 11/8, 11/15 and 11/29 (no class on 11/22).

Participants must be at least 18 years-old and preference will be given to MAPL card holders.

With the approach of Christmas causing him to feel lonely in life and love, Robert Malone (Oscar winner Martin Landau – Ed Wood), braves the wintery snow to arrive home from his job at the grocery store only to find a stranger in his home. What begins as an odd and awkward encounter quickly blossoms into what appears to be a romantic late life love affair that takes us on a heartfelt and wonderful journey which takes an unexpected turn. We will stream this film using Kanopy.

Interested in learning yoga, but have difficulty getting down on the floor? Now you too can enjoy all the benefits of yoga without having to get on a mat. You will learn many yoga postures, breathing techniques, meditation and relaxation while seated in a chair. The class will be taught by Danielle Meany, RYT. All levels welcome. No experience or equipment is necessary.

Must be at least 18 years-old and a MAPL cardholder to participate.

Stressed out by the holidays? Join us for a relaxing afternoon of painting pottery. Staff from The Clay Pot will bring the clay bisque bowls, glazes, and everything you need to create a unique work of art. You just need to supply the creativity! Painted pieces will be kiln fired and available to take home after the New Year.

Participants must be at least 18 years-old and preference will be given to MAPL cardholders.
